Can I play with people that don't have entrenchment? in Sins of a Solar Empire Sins Forums

I do not have entrenchment yet, however I will get it in a couple of minutes once this question is answered. Is there a way that I can boot regular sins w/o entrenchment on, allowing me to play with other people that do not have entrenchment? I think you can because someone online did it but I need to know how before I buy it. Please respond soon so I can get it!
