Ultimately if people continue to pirate games without repurcussions then there will be no money in making these......and no big companies will put money forth to make epic games again. Think about that when you pirate. You're destroying your own hobby

I haven't stepped into any mp games, but I really can't see how this game would be good online. you'd have to find people to constantly come back and play. Game is built more for sp imo
Personally I find the diplomacy side of the game doesn't really add to the fun of the experience. Have you tried the game with locked teams? The main problem is the AI can become chummy really easily, whereas it's a lot of work to keep the AI's happy.
I didn't realize you could lock the teams, sort of a nub at this still. Is that on the screen for choosing opponents and your faction?
I like it the way it is. I think it's perfect now. I don't want capital ships being a 1 ship fleet that can run over everyone. Kind of like that failure of a game Warcraft 3
Singleplayer or multiplayer?
single player. I always seem to get stuck with the ally that spends the whole game begging for help and you know the second you move your fleet that colony is gettin hit
Great guide. I haven't stepped up to hard yet. I'm just not there still learning. I find that early on the game if I ignore most other aspects and just mass up a quick fleet with the colonize capital ship for expansion I can usually play however I want after achieving a couple choke points and beefing them up. But that is on only normal.
I was playing earlier tonight in a 2v2v2 and it becomes a 4v2. Me being on the 2 side. What's up with this? This happens to me all the time and it's frustrating. I fought it off as long as I could, but everytime I moved a fleet to defend something I lost what I left. This happens to on FFAs as well. It's infuriating >=(
I agree with people here. I don't have time or desire to play the game 80 hours a week in order to be competitive online. Which is why the lack of a campaign is such a disappointment. And I'm sure there's some formulistic way to win, and if you don't do it exactly right you'll never do well. Online play takes away the thinking aspect of games, you just have to spam whtever the games' most broken unit is.
<
This is good info. Thanks for replies On microing, is it ok to leave certain capitol ship abilities on autocast or is it abosolutely essential to micro each one? Also, I've read that early trade ports are a fast boost, but the first reply says that refineries are the way to go?
This game is excellent. Probably one of the best RTS games I've played. I'm having a little trouble and was hoping I could get some answers from more skilled veterans out there....if you have the time to answer 1. There's so much to do I don't know what to prioritize. This goes for pretty much everything in building. Do I expand first? Do I move up the tech trees quickly? Usually I get to expanding quickly. Generally I just spread everyt
