That's one thing I absolutely love about Blender. It has it's own texturing and render engine; it even has animation (although I haven't gotten that to work yet). You can make a passable texture without any real experience, although I'm sure there's more you can do than I've accomplished. It also supports UV texturing. You might as well get the double pack. I'ts only 5 extra bucks than vanilla, and Entrenchment requires vanilla anyway. EDIT: Wait, does the double pack exist?

It seems like kind of a wast to be re-making something we already have that looks fairly good. Still, I'm really appreciative of the help. I did know that we'd have to re-make it eventually, so I guess it's all for the best. The texture wasn't the greatest and there was some kind of bug where you could see through from one side.

Yeah, that's going to be a huge help, even if they just help us texture. BTW, I've pretty much finished the LRF model (needs a bridge). It's awesome.

Thanks for the insight. I always thought the level of mediocrity of my models was because of my lack of skill, does this mean I get to blame it on Blender's limited features? I'm sure he already knows that. He just wants a way to turn off only mines. It would also be nice to have each mine group be 1 pip instead of 1 minefield making it look like (at a glance) you have a moderately fortified planet on your hands.

Futuristic guns? Maybe different ammo enables an automatic fire mode for pistols, or the rounds were fragmentation ordnance. I kind of bristled at the part where it had a specific button for releasing all of the air except for in the bridge. It's as if they designed it to be taken over by one person. maybe he could find a button to lock the bridge doors, and then some kind of emergency open button for all un-locked doors. It seems a little dumb that the button shows it was intentional

I've made a dysfunctional frigate yard (some faces are missing ingame) that still lacks a texture and am about 50% done on a fairly good LRM frigate if that counts. I thought the CCS had the texture... And where is the Halcyon? I didn't see it in the alpha or any news posts.

Wow. I hope he'll let us use it. Oh, and I've made some progress on the LRM frig. The class trip to DC, tennis, and Entrenchment have kept me from the model for a while. I actually made a good amount of the current detailing while in the van on the ride back. Bumpy [e digicons]o_O[/e]

I've used it a few times now and while it does make almost all frigates & cruisers easy pickings, it doesn't nearly evaporate fleets like everyone complains it does. For me it may kill ~1/3 of a 6 pip fleet (and no, they weren't all HC's or SK and they didn't move away). This is 1.16 and 1.17 (even Entrenchment 1.02).

@unknownx - Did you try researching the pop. cap upgrades? All races have them (I'm sure you know that). @demmalition1 - No, it's not on Gateway every time. It spwans randomly. That's just the map you played on when it spawned for you. Lol, it has a helmet.
