From wat I saw, there were no "random splotches". There was something in SS #8 (at the bottom left) that looked like it could be interpreted as random but I think it's just the way the team paint was applied for Kodiaks. There's not much to see really. To my knowledge all we have is the Phoenix-Class, Marathon-Class, Halcyon-Class, FFG-Class Frigate, Destroyer, SMAC platform, and Covenant Assault Carrier. I know that does seem like a lot, if you comapre to the large amount of ship and structure types in Sins it's relatively minor. Plus, the alpha is for team members to be on the same page while developing the mod. Don't worry, we should have the Beta out soon enough. If you really can't wait, get some modelli

No, I think Vasari is almost exactly like the Covenant. They're the aliens, they have the best mastery of FTL (slipspace, phase space), they both use plasma, they both have unconventional hull designs, they're both pretty warlike, etc. I'm guessing we'll have just the UNSC and Covenant and maybe non-playable flood for pirates or something.
Just go to youtube, I'm pretty sure they're all there. It's nice to know that there are other people working on the mod, despite any resistance they might be encountering [e digicons]:D[/e]

Seriously, stop asking. I'm barely involved with this but I've glanced at enough mods and in general have enough life experience with projects to say: we can't quantitate it yet! By the time we've made enough progress for it to be mentionable there'll be an update. That said, thank you for your concern and enthusiasm. It does (slightly) help us go faster.
Javelis has lower hull and shields by about 200 and 100 respectively (offhand estimation). Like Darvin said they cost crystal and take research to make. Plus, 1 supply isn't a huge difference unless you're building huge fleets (which is late game, so you'll probably be building more advanced units anyway).
