I agree that it must be annoying when some games get ruined by noobs or jerks that do it on purpose. However, yelling at noob, making blacklists and kicking out everyone who doesn't have good stats will hurt the community more than it will help it. It is difficult enough to find games online and if all the new players are scared to join or pissed away, it will only become worse. We need more online players: we should encourage them to come and give them a chan

To reply straightly to the question: No, the fear of pro players doesn't keep me out of sins online. [e digicons]:)[/e] I purchased this game for the main purpose of playing a 4rtx with other people and expected, like in any other multiplayer games, that some people indeed got very pro at it. I did got owned at my first game by obviously pro players (a 6 player FFA), but watched the replay and the stastistics to begin building a playstyle for myself. I will keep playi
I just downloaded entrenchment. As for a first time ever downloading a game expansion instead of buying a retail one, I must say I am really impressed with the speed of the process and the low cost as well. Grats to Stardock! [e digicons][/e]
I didn't know those were usualy ''not free'', I'm learning something there. [e digicons]:O[/e] Anyway, I don't plan to play for a recording program, as I'm not planning to use it often. Besides, it would have been only to show some spacefights to pals... ... or to brag. [e digicons][/e]
Hi Can anyone suggest me a good background recording program to create videos from games or replays? I want those to have the ability of been playable and sharable outside of the game.
Ok, thanks I have version 1.15 currently, so it seems there won't be any problems. [e digicons];)[/e]
Hi I would like to upgrade Sins with Entrenchment. However, before I do, there are some things I would like to know. First, is Windows XP SP2 is Ok to run it smoothly? Its because I can't upgrade and I don't want to purchase something I can't use. Sins runs very well now, but I just want to be sure the expansion have the same REQs. Secondly, I heard that saved games canb't be loaded after you get the expansion. Will that affect the
I tried multiplayer for the first time yesterday, and it did took me a while to find some available games and more to be accepted in one. However, sometimes, there were 3 games available and only one showed. Has it anything to do with the fact that I don't have entrenchment? [e digicons]:|[/e] I'd like to know, as I might upgrade soon...
[quote who="CenturionJixra" reply="2" id="2093159"] You should play it in single player for about two weeks. Play all three factions and learn about their strengths and weaknesses relative to one another. Also, try to play some longer games so that you get to contemplate the full tech trees. When you're ready to come online, count on getting steamrolled in your first few games. The online game is different from single player and much, much more ch
Hello Everyone I got Sins of a solar empire retail a few days ago and after some testings in single player, I am ready to take on the real challenge of multiplayer. I Will log on this afternoon, if anyone wants to challenge me.
Hi I am unable to install impulse as I seem to have a problem related with Net2. Is there other ways to download the updates without impulse? Note that I don't have the game yet, if it may creates issues with impulse.
Hehe Come to think of it, I do remember seeing some news about SOASE during the developpment of the game way before release, but most of my gaming attention was directed on something else (World of Warcraft) and therefore, I forgot about it and missed the release... But I am here, finally.
Thanks for the info everyone, I'll sure check about the developpments. [e digicons][/e] And as of now, it runs pretty well on my computer. It seems indeed really efficient on the hardware usage. I can't wait to play online with other players.
Greetings, I just downloaded Sins of a Solar Empire Demo and got my first contact into SOASE's Universe. I discovered the existence of this game a few weeks ago and it's just the perfect game for me. Indeed, I have dreamed of a game like this for a very long time. I am now testing it with the demo so I can check how well it runs on my computer. I'm using the opportunity to introduce myself to the community and hopes to meet you i
