I am sorry there is an expansion already for this game? Where do I get it? and howmany updates are there?

I am a huge fan ogames like Sins. i bought it a few days ago and played quite a bit, however there are some things that I think could have been made better. 1) The limited amount of ships you are allowed to build. I mean, trying playing with five stars and only about 1300 ships is kind of imposible when you have 3, or more, factions all against you with all of their forces at different fronts.
