I mostly want different victory options. I want to be able to win by cultural domination when my culture reaches a certain percentage of the map. A diplocatic victory would be cool too, where, instead of having to wipe a side out, I can force it to become a vassel state, and count as owning it. Yeah, I think that carrier caps should have pretty weak weapons, patricularly compared to ther cap ships. They should be like modern Aircraft carriers; serving no real purpose but to launch and maintain SC. Any weapon damage should be incidental.

I like the SC. It makes the game feel more like a space opera, where the capital ships blast eachother while the sky is filed with fighters and bombers duking it out. I like that bombers have a large impact. It gives me cool moments where bombers take out cap ships. Sure, SC are powerful and tend to dominate a fleet.
