Okay, no Zerg, I agree.... But what about something like Wh40k's C'tan or B5's Shadows? Some monstrous ancient enemy that the other races actually feel the effects of without realising it?
Free? What, free as in no fleet allowance, or free as in no cost whatsoever? I'll have to test that for myself....
I have to admit, the Akkan is not normally my first choice. It's not bad, just doesn't have the sheer tactical use of a Kol. It's also meat if that damn Advent biyatch sends his Radiance over. Not so when my Kol is in the vicinity :) I'm slowly but surely getting the hang of it. Got my first Marza out the door an hour ago. Christened it the TDN Orion. Combined with my Kol (TDN Excalibur) it's making short work of enemy attacks. Hell, my Kol is getting big and fat eating too many Destr

I decided to name my veteran Kol 'TDN Wtfpwnbbq' after a one to many tustles with the local advents. I'll think up some better names tomorrow :p The amount of customisab
I have to admit the only think that messed up was paypal, when I tried to buy entrenchment - resorted to using my credit card. Impulse worked fine in itself, no problems. Nice bit of software :)
I've noticed that Capital ships have their own names. I'm wondering if there's a function, or a modifable file, or a mod that allows me to name capital ships. I realise its a small thing, but I'd still like to do it. I really like my fave faction's capital ships. The Kol is the dog's bollocks. The Marza is a close second. But they all have naff names - I think I had an Akkan called the 'TDN Fafnaize' or something like that. Fafnaize? Sounds like a drain cleaner. I'd like to give them
[quote who="ratchit01" reply="6" id="2092114"]Don't worry, you'll get the hang of it. I've been playing for 4 or 5 months and I'm still learning stuff. I guess there is just to many things to put in the tutorial, but people are always willing to help out on this forum. The depth of this game is really quite impressive. Quick start is an option you can use when starting a new game. IT gives you the extractors already built on your starting planet plus a capital ship factoy on game s
Hmmm, so you're saying that I should have just forced the rogue TEC AI out of the next world and put some stuff there? I'll do that (he just seems to have Cobalts. Hell of a lot easier to handle than the scary-looking stuff I'm seeing in the asteroids... it looks like the bloomin' Covenant armada). How does one capture stuff? EDIT: Just read your post. Bleh, I think I know what I did wrong - I attacked to early. I had a Colony frigate back at my homeworld that I
I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed here. I'm a new player, just got Sins and Entrenchment, I've been playing an easy AI in my first few skirmishes as TEC, but I'm finding it difficult to keep up. I was playing an easy AI Advent. I scouted a few planets in my home system with some Arcovas, ended up finding another terran planet which appeared to be inhabited by an unfriendly TEC AI (huh? where did he come from?). I pretty much got chased out of that area. I scouted the star and found a phas
Cheers peoples. I might as well just get Entrenchment when I install Sins, it seems to be getting some good reviews. (Postman didn't deliver sins today, though, slackers.... :p ) Has anyone tried out the Argonev? Is it good? It reminds me of a Blackstone from WH40k...
Hello everyone, I'm new to this game. It should be arriving in the post tomorrow, and I've played enough on a mate's to know I really like the TEC (railguns + lasers = nice, I played on his savegame that had these Kol battleships and some funny fat things with autocannons, I ended up dishing out some pwnage to some pirate people during a few mins of play - rocked my sox). I've read some posts on here that Entrenchment is actually a good idea for n00bs because it doesn't radica
