If a friendly ship gets popped, the Corsev gets some health back. If a friendly ship captured with Boarding Action gets popped, the Corsev gets some more health back. Simples. *squeak*
Just some things I've noticed in games since the patch. Plasma Storms: Strike Craft still launch for AI and players. Replicate: every game. Magnetic Storms: Abilities could still be used by the AI, but not by me. First time this happened I wasn't paying attention and my fleet got shredded. :( Other players randomly could and could not use abilities in Magnetic Storms. AI always could. Had me and my mate scratching our head when we minidumped twice aftert he same save. It was exactly this problem. Hopefully the dumps'll help get this fixed.
I have noticed that the Advent Mothership doesn't auto-cast Shield Restore unless it itself is under attack. And the shield bubble from the cruisers are terrible at auto-casting unless you've got a dozen or so. So yeah, AI auto-cast is kinda broke for now.
Today I got one planet, the planet next to an AI Home, to fart out 110 culture per second by not doing anything to it. I was ignoring the dark blue AI as my purple AI partner was dealing with his attacks while I pummeled the red AI for shooting me with Novaliths. I noticed I had killed that planet with culture, got a shock when I noticed the culture output, and within minutes I had culture-nuked his entire holdings as every planet that fell began beaming 100+ happy thoughts per second at the
I've had trouble with this too. I think it might be that some abilities turn enemy ships into your faction, so maybe that counts? Using the Corsov's Boarding Action, the Advent Loyalist Titan's "I'll shoot you 'til you're on my side" guns or the Advent battle-cruisers ability to turn a foe to one of your ships might count towards you building them for yourself.
