LOL preorders are closed temporirily untill next month, they sold 3000 online pre-orders in 2 weeks so they had to close it. Will be back up next month with a different set of skins for champions, also the game hasn't even been released yet, there due date is september.
Yes, I am still skeptical of this business model as well but I am putting my hopes on Riot Games. So far they have lived upto everything they have set out and stated they will do during the beta process. Been missing in this forums for some time, now... Anyways currently there are various companies working on games inspired from Dota not just LOL... There is League of Legends by Riot Games, ofcourse... There is Heroes of Newerth by S2 Games which Icefrog the current developer of Dota is endorsing himself... There is Bloodline Champions which recently won best game in the Swedish Game Awards... So this genre is getting a huge boost...
