As it turns out it was my graphics tablet causing a confict with the game i uninstalled it with device manager and the game works fine now. odd - damm german gfx pad!

I get this too, on the demo. played it once - worked fine. then came back to it afew months later. black screen then crashes. I have tryed reinstall game, deleting C:\Users\....\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Setting folder changing to windowed mode, removing intro movies. still crashes, any ideas?
