Stress, I have the utmost respect for your work here and am eagerly awaiting the inclusion of SOP, yet I thought I would post the 2gig fix as a temporary measure while us eager fans wait. I apologise if I meant any disrespect or problems.
not sure if this has been mentioned, i just noticed in the galaxy folder there are 2 more maps that are not showing up ingame, Battle of Wolf 359

umm... I came across this in the Stargate invasion news at moddb. I don't know if it is viable but maybe worth a try as a temporary 2gig dump fix. http://www.moddb.com/mods/stargate-invasion/news/how-to-allow-sins-to-run-on-max-setting-with-mods-and-not-mini-dump and tutorial <a href="http://forums.techpowerup.com/showthread.php?t=112556
I agree with Mystic Angel, IMO the prometheus isn't that strong. I don't know know much behind the science of the ship, but having four independent power sources for weapons and shields makes each segment weaker and easier to pick off individually. Whether the increased movement makes up for these disadvantages and able to co-odinate attacks; surely it would be better to have 4 defiants instead. The military stratagem 'divide and conquer' seem

I don't think anyone has underestimated your modding/texturing skills. I am really surprised that the ambassador and excelsior are such low polys because they some of the best looking ships in the game! On a side note, in the 0.3c and e build you had smoke trails after damaged ships, however I havn't noticed it in the latest releases. Is this part of volumetric explosion effects? The problem with the 2gig limit might restrict this but the effects really improved the immersion of the m
Scope, another option could be to set your fleet size to Large. Though the fleet supply amount in game will say one thing, you will have a larger amount than what it says you are researching. Also, I don't know if you'll be able to read this Zonek, but I like the new Wolf 359 map. I do have a couple questions for you. You have Risa as a Class F (volcanic) slag heap, and Betazed is a desert world, i
So if the borg are spending their resources on fleet logistics, could this be down to the "Assimilation power"? The Borg assimilate pirates/frigates etc and realise that they are over their fleet number (minus) so they research fleet logistics thus crippling their economy. If this is the case, one solution would be to lower the effectiveness of assimilation or find another work around. If this is the problem.
Link is there but i can't seem to get it to show up http://www.adrive.com/public/cb7478120cabd2a8803a8fdf731286f940861248d86e83e09e44995d2d7111ca.html
Battle of Wolf 359 v.1 The Battle of Wolf 359 took place in 2367 in the Wolf 359 system, roughly eight light years from Earth, between the forces of the United Federation of Planets and the Borg Collective. It is recorded as one of the most destructive battles in Federation history prior to the Dominion War. Small 3 vs 1 chokepoint map <span style="color: #ffffff;
Snowed here in London yesterday but didn't settle. Just put 'Zonek' in the credits. I made the map entirely for SOA2 but it can't really be compared to the effort put in by the actual modding team.
@Major Stress. It turns out that version of the map is a relatively early build with a few mistakes (balancing, names, planets etc). I dont know why I made Venus a desert planet but I have changed it now; and I made Saturn volcanic for gameplay purposes. I wish I had the time and patience to learn to mod Sins, I dabbled with Rome and Medieval Total War back in the day, but now I just make fan maps for sacrifice of angels 2 instead. I uploaded a newer version of
I notice you included my map (fortune favours the bold) in the latest release. [e digicons]:grin:[/e] Has anyone tried the map online? how's the balancing? Loving the mod, the borg are intense!!!
STO, ME2 and SOA in the same week why are you doing this to me [e digicons]:(O[/e]
I heard that The Old Republic was being released Spring 2011!!! STO is really enjoyable especially space battles against klingons, but ground combat is rubbish and laggy just got myself an Excalibar class cruiser [e digicons]:grin:[/e] good luck with SOA, from my view of cannon your doing it perfectly
Since, theoretically, the Romulans are based on the Romans and we know that the Romulans have both an emperor and praetor, it stands to reason that the praetor has a similar role to the Roman praetor. The "Praetor" of ancient Rome was the title given to the head of the Praetorian Guard. They were the palace guards (i.e., in Imperial Rome they guarded the emperor and his family). Beginning with Claudius, the Praetorian G
can't wait to see the D'Deridex and the Norexan with the dynamic movement in action. back in the 0.03c days I built fleets consisting entirely of D'Deridex ships just because they looked so menacing.

I like what you have done here with your planetary travel between star systems, it seems to work very well for the game systems mechanics. My only gripe comes from the fact that in order to get from one star system to the next, there is no real freedom in travel since you

Hey people, I've been playing sins for quite a while now and have been using different mods, however Sacrifice of Angels 2 has easily been the best I've played. Fantastic job! I made a map for sins 1.16 recreating the dominion war including the major players on both sides and iconic locations. I called it 'Fortune Favours the Bold' and i uploaded it onto wincustomize although it might take a few days to turn up. If anybody is interested i
