Of course games drop in price. I will vote with my dollars and pay what I think it is worth to me. I am in no hurry to get it...if I get it at all.

I bought Sins plus both expansions, but will likely pass on Rebellion. It is not worth $40 to me. The combat in the current game is fine, and I do not pay for bug fixes. I am willing to pay $10-$20 for the upgrade like I did for entrenchment and diplomacy, and that is it. I will vote with my dollars and save them for the new RTS games coming out.
Oh well, I have to wait to play it.
I bought it last month, and now it disappeared from Impulse. Where did it go and / or when will it be back? Thanks!
The game is currently in beta. If I am correct, the developers have newer releases than what we are currently playing. Anyone judging the AI and Diplomatic options should wait until the final release to judge it. My only complaint is that micro expansions tend to split online communities for those that like online multiplayer since everyone needs to buy all of them. However, Sins of a Solar Empire Trinity should bring in alot of new gamers with all of the expansions.</
I have to say that I think Diplomacy makes this game a much better single player experience. I think they are going in the perfect direction. Does anyone play Civilization IV? I think that is what they are trying to do with an RTS.
I think if Entrenchment and Diplomacy was the expansion pack that sold for $20, people would not complain about little content. Remember this is a micro expansion and NOT a full expansion. Expansions in stores generally sell for $29.99, so try to envision these micro expansions as 1/3 that amount of content. I have bought expansions for other games at $29.99 that had very little content.
If you are talking to me, I play Diplomacy and Entrenchment. If I want ships to not join a fleet, I just zoom into a planet and then set my rally in the gravity well there. I then collect them and put them in a new control group like control 2 for example.
autojoin is off by default. Just have your factory set a rally point that is NOT a ship.
I used to love RTS games onilne, but now I personally do not like playing online due to exploits. The one that ruins this game for me is the Capital ship carrier rush. I was in a 4v4 doing well, and a neighbor with two carriers invaded my fifth planet after leveling them up and destroyed my two cap ships plus defenses. The map was a big wheel so I was taking planets to try to get to the inner ring. The guy that attacked me only had 3 planets which led me to believe tha
What is fleet autojoin? I set my rally point to one of my capital ships, and created ships join that fleet after created. However, it appears that they first have to travel to the capital ship before being added to the control 1 group for example. Also, it seems to fail if that capital ship is destroyed. Is that what you mean?
I have been playing 4 player FFA with teams unlocked, and Diplomacy makes sense. The only problem is that I cannot make a pact. AIs offer and I accept, and it is immediately canceled. I believe I read elsewhere that other have this problem, so something to look forward to with the release version.
I love the game too, but I have not had a fun online game yet. I generally play Diplomacy lately in a 4 player FFA with 3 comps to play with the new features.
I do not have a suggestion for you, but Diplomacy runs perfect on my Vista Ultimate 64 machine. I have a Gigabyte board with an AMD 5000+ dual core and 9600GT from nvidia and 4GB of ram. I play at full screen 1680x1050.
