Microsoft Points and similar schemes are actually a reasonable solution to problems of international currency exchange and international pricing and how that interacts with publishing. Customers shouldn't be so limited in the quantities they can purchase though, that part's silly.
I guess its more the implimentation that bothers me, which is more microsoft than their points. Seriously look at the patch
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying piracy isn't wrong, or hurtful. But when a busness model starts shifting towards getting money from your customers in any way possible, at THE GAME'S EXPENSE, then the only appropriate response is to let them go out of business! There's enough trouble in the world without the gaming industry breathing down your back.
Just to set this in context, i'm happy wit
Thing is DRM isn't the problem. DRM as a phrase is completely demonised by the gaming media, but err whats wron with the protection of your product? As long as society is structured in its current state people will have the right to make money from their own ideas. I understand that this wasnt an issue in the 90's(im guessing) due to less internet access probably less piracy., though I remember the days when you didnt even need a cd in the drive [e digicons][/e] The problem wit

Basically is there anything in the expansion I should be looking forward to , even tho I only play locked teams?
If it's good enough you might stop playing locked teams [e digicons]:D[/e]
By the way only thing we can call "dreadnaught" is Mazda. Vasari is more of just plain siege cap ship, wanna be dreadnaught, but fails.
Lol, what defines a dreadnought? (Except a british battleship built in 1906)
Quoting Cykur, reply 12 Is this type of undocumented tweaking typical of most strategy games?
Oh god yes. Look at Company of Heroes, each units has a damage table in relation to all other units which sets base damage, then their are weapon types vs armour types. The infantry all look vaguely the same constitution (they are ww2 soldiers) but those stormtroopers have 'elite armour' so a flame based
Best LRMs and carriers? Are you on drugs? Also Vasari cannon fired multiple times basicly renders Advent defences useless or outright destroys them. And Im pretty sure Egg is the best, it has the Nano Disassembler ability. About 4 shots of that and the Motherships hull would be destroyed so the shield ability would be useless
Lol how many kosturas do you plan to build? Im fairly
I'm not so sure, I mean if it wiped out the dark fleet, surely whatever it is wouldn't fit into the technological context and also be defeatable. I mean surely it would wipe out the TEC and advent as they are roughly the same power as the weakened vasari fleet remnants. I sort of hope it stays as just background story so the idea of the danger isn't diminished, though I wouldn't mind a few hints as to what it is i.e robots or phase space monsters or whatever.
The advent have wtf extra money for little investment culture bonuses. Also they are the most shiny. Therefore they are the best.
Quoting mbaron888, reply 1 If I had a say in it, I would change the current allegiance system. Rather than allegiance determine tax income rate, have tax income rate determine allegiance. In other words, players can adjust the tax rate (either galaxy-wide or per planet, depending on what the developers are willing to implement) in favor of or against allegiance. Allegiance would then affect structure and ship cons
Once you've taken out a starbase with your orkulus, you then already have a (mobile) upgraded starbase at the world in question. That has to count for something.
What like the adjudicator? They arent that good at killing SB's for me even supported by a load of bombers. Also they fall apart if you touch them, (Which I guess the AI is rubbish at) so they need to do some damage before a bomber decides to end them.
