its stupid really, a boxed copy is shipped to ANY company and ANY country reguardless of competition. But online thats a different thing....WHY? why can only certain providers stock certain games. the only ones losing out is the companies themselves by not making games available to all customers through their provider of choice.
Because online, you dont need distribution companies like 'Game.'
I have Impulse and Steam on my PC.

Best superweapon in my opinion too.
Well if money isnt an object 20 kostura cannons will pretty much wipe out a grav well and is the best, but I kind of think you're lucky to be able to afford 1 super weapon
What are you doing with it? If you are using it to buff your fleet you'll see that it's already the strongest super weapon on a realistic budget.
The AI's surrender program is actually quite good, it seems like it rage quits if you deal it an absolutely catastrophic defeat in a space battle, (like wipe out a maxed cap fleet) you dont even have to go after the planets then. Im not sure exactly how it is calculated, but you will notice the action you perform that 'tips it over the edge' like a big victory in a battle or even just novalitihing a planet.

Also you can keep running round him in circles and he can never target you as all the Marza's good guns point forward and it turns sllllooooowwwww.
Shoot a planet with a kostura cannon, it now acts like it has a phase stabiliser for a bit, allowing you to jump from a phose node to the kostura target.
i was just wondering how people position their defences to get maximum coverage? Personally, I just stick everything together, so the hangars and starbase draw the enemy fleet in (to stop the strikecraft) and this by extension brings them into range of the 'turret' defences. I put mines in front of my defence, in the place the enemy fleet has to go to attack the SB, so at least they have to spend some time mine clearing, or basically go around/ over the or
So the Deliverance Engine is the only Superweapon that is unaffected by Starbases, interesting. I mean, if novaliths can't destroy the planet, and it would take a ridiculous amount of Kostura warheads to destroy a fully upgraded starbase, than the Deliverance Signal gets a little boost in effectiveness eh? That's not to say it makes the other two completely useless Since Novaliths can still take your population to 0 (thus reducing tax income) and
I might be wrong, but while starting poor, don't TEC ultimately have the best armour rating (if you get all the research.) I love the complexities of the tech tree, ata glance it looks kinda homogenous, but the more you compare them the more you see the subtle but definite balancing.
Late game, the Vasari can move anywhere in an instant through phase stabalizer technology, and can use this to jump far behind enemy lines through the use of the Kostura. How do you do that?! As if the Vasari werent already the best.
Build pahse nodes everywhere and you can jump between them. My issue with Vasari is that I never have any credits, as TEC and advent I end up with a very strong eco
Yes starbases are a foil to even the unfair AI, seriously you can fight as many of them as you want as long as you lock an area down with starbases, they'll waste their ships fighting them. Against all the AI's the trick is surviving the opening, then you just turtle forward as you get resources, sun starbases are a good way of creating a chokepoint.
Ehhh I kinda like the balance theyv'e got, it feels like the AI rage quits when there is literally no chance of making a comeback.
Marza is kind of fail if you fly round it in circles. It turns sssssssssslllllllllllooooooooooowwwwwwwwlllllllllllllyyyyyyy and has like half a torch on 1 side and a pistol on the other. Of course at lvl 6 even if you do surround, it it proceeds to scream ALL THAT SURROUND ME SHALL DIE and blows up your carefully manouvered firgates [e digicons]x_x[/e] I was wondering if in a 1 on 1 fight the best counter might be the Antorak Marauder, because it

So, even though you can fly past an SB, it will inflict big overall flee
a: 10 fleet for tha TEC and Advent construction cruiser, Vasari's comes from colony frigate. Once you turn the ship into a starbase it no longer uses supply howerver. B. 1 starbase per side per well. 4 starbases per side per star well. C. Its like planets, click on the starbase and you are presented with options. Each starbase has 8 Upgrade points, there are a lot of upgrades, you can choose 8. No going back. Some are tiered, so you need lvl 1 weapons upgrade to get lvl 2 weap
Hmm, I think a good one to add, is to ensure that you position your ships correctly. If a ship has guns on multiple sides, Caps/ illuminators, make sure it is in a position to fire as many as possible. For instance, the death egg (evacuator) has a wave array that targets frontal targets, but it has beams down either side that wont fire unless there is an enemy to the side, try and position the egg to be facing the enemy line down an angle so its beams have targets as well as it's front.
NOOOOOOOOO its quite well balanced now, dont hurt it!!!!!!!! [e digicons]8O[/e]
Vasari to my understanding, they are aggressors with a relatively poor economy, and culture spread (so no TEC credits and no super money making advent allegiance bonuses from culture.) They have resource extraction techs roled into one, so upping crystal and metal income through research is more viable. NO1 coolest thing to my mind are PHASE MISSILES, as you research Vasari missiles become increasingly likely to negate shields and shield mitigation, so pew pew [e digicons]:cylo

It couldn't
Like medieval siege weapons they need to have the way cleared for them or they are just big vulnerable targets, i think its fine that the same goes for assault frigates. When you take out the army round the fortress, THEN you can wheel in the big guns to break down the walls. I would say that the same should go for siege frigates, excecpt this would limit the planet harass strat even more and further reduce their use.
