Haven't played for a few months, really like the game but got frustrated with the bugs and multiplayer not working very well. Anyways, just wondering how stable things are now, when i last played skirmish and patheon were pretty much broken, and customs had just gotten proxi servers, but it still seemed to take a long time to find a full game.

I can conceed to that definition. Demigod isn't broken, yet isn't optimal yet. So we can agree it's somewhere in the imperfect category, or perhaps incomplete as of today? Certainly i can understand if a bottleneck is upon a player's side. My follow up questions would be as follows. First I might question Gas Powered or Stardock concerning their due dilligence regarding what system capabilities (or connectivity capabilities) their users will ultimately have.&nb

Zehdon - let me just say I'm glad we can actually have a real discussion here. I haven't posted on forums much in recent years because most people aren't mature enought to have a real discussion. Im glad we can talk =) when i call demigod broken, i do so because all the intended features (even launch features) are still not working. Some not working well, some not at all. For me this constitutes the term 'broken' yet, perhaps a better term may be 'incomplete' b
1. I’d like to see a randomize teams in custom games. That is, players press a button and when the game starts, the teams are mixed up. There is definitely a growing issue about “pre-mades” vs. “random”. We will have to talk to Gas Powered Games to see what can be done without blowing up the budget but I think this is an issue that is needed.
The reason i feel we have premades (fo
If you are playing in a premade with friends, say so in the title of the game. It's unfair to PUGs to join a game against 3-4 players on voice comm cooperating against total strangers. It's an unfair advantage and really goes against the competitive spirit of the game. I have friends I play with too but I let everyone know it's a premade and hopefully go up against stronger players or another p

Zehdon Let me rephrase. Comparing Demigod to any other tripple A quality game out there upon release, it shipped broken. Stardock made a move composed of high integrity to fix the said problems as fast as they could, yet in it's current state, it's still broken. That doesn't mean i don't enjoy demigod. That doesn't mean i don't appreciate frog boys honesty. That doesn't mean i don't appreciate all of gas powered's and stardock's long hours. This is

Let me preface this by stating the incredible amount of respect I have for stardock dealing with demigod's problems in the manner they have, seriously it's just incredible. That being said, lets me say this. we're 3 months in, and while demigod is tons of fun to play, it's still essentially broken. Custom games work good (though in my experience getting a 5v5 can still be difficult), yet patheon and skirmish while perhaps not 'broken', certainly aren't working completely

Im a casual gamer, don't get online much so im not really in the 'know', customs work great right? but what's the status of patheon and skirmish?
If sales continue as strongly as they are now, I think we’ll be able to do most of what’s listed up there but only time will tell.
Let me preface this by saying the amount of attention that stardock has given the game given it's rough launch is unprecedented in the history of video games (at least in my experience) That i really do appreciate. That being said, the items in frog boy's list are basically items i feel

I appreciate the journal updates frog boy, it's nice to hear from someone, seems like most video game companies are so tight lipped about everything, sometimes you wonder if they even care. Not the case here.
The difference, though, is that Stardock is a publisher and is directly in charge of the public communications for both companies in regards to Demigod. Besides if GPG was reading all our posts AND replying to a bunch of them along with posting status updates, they'd lose a lot of patch time.
Good point, yet frog boy kept a near daily journal for the last 6 weeks and patched the game a dozen times.
Gas Powered Games is working very hard on not just v1.01 which is in final testing but also v1.1.
good to know, and maybe it's comparing apples and oranges, but it sure seems like stardock has done a hell of a lot more in 6 weeks than gas powered. The fact that as far as i've read (and i could be wrong) the only talk i hear about new demi gods is coming from you guys at stardock, the publisher.

THe game has been out 6 weeks? about, maybe 5. In that time stardock has done a great job keeping an open line of communication and really striving to fix everything within their power. I don't think there is many here who won't applaude their actions. But in reading a post by frog boy the other night, i noticed that on several issues players brought up he commented, saying such issues were gas powered game issues, and out of their control. Which makes me wonder, w
Honestly, I don't know why you're even bothering to post here. If you really wanted to return it, nothing you'd read here would change your mind. You can return the game or keep it, but because neither option affects the internet at large I can't figure out why you're expecting any of us to care. Of course, I think we all know that the only reason you're posting here is because you want the attention, which is depressing borde

I like Demigod, alot, i really wished it was working, but it's not. I Know at one point stardock said they'd refund copys of demigod,,, and i can't help but wonder why (since the game is just sitting on the shelf right now anyways) i don't return it, and then rebuy it in 3-6 months.... when it'll be cheaper...or use some buddy's coupon..... Demigod seems a solid game, but it's kinda frustrating that right now it's in a state where we're better off forgetting about

Frog boy, really appreciate your candor and honesty. a couple concerns. about yesterdays (?) post Option to Concede. Would let players quit a game they feel they’re losing. Their Demigod is removed. If all players from that team concede, the game is over. Sounds good in theory, but one main frustration i have in games is people quitting at the first sign of a loss. It's a personal game play preference, but i think it's nearly as fun
