I did read on Steam that apparently Brad already announced Ashes 2 unofficially on Ashes boards or wherever.... yet we only got some vague promise that something is being worked on, more than a year ago. Its deeply disappointing. Luckily, there is Homeworld 3 and Falling Frontier coming this year - if Stardock does not want my money, it will be spent on those.

So its that time of year again, i am bit bored right now, so i thought why not, here comes my obligatory topic about TV shows i watched last year. Perhaps someone will take my recommendation and will watch something off my list, or recommend something himself, like some of the things being tossed around in the last years thread, i then proceeded to watch, like for example: Man in the High Castle - i did watch Season 1 few years ago. Was bit indifferent towa

Just now, i tried to run the game again, just on my own, and its still f-ed up, even on menu, or if i start single player game. I tried to run a mod, i was using before (theRemastered one with better graphics), and that doesnt affect it, still bad. Last time i ran the game, with that mod, maybe a year ago? - it ran flawlessly.

Hi there, just wanted to report rather unpleasant levels of lag and stuttering, while playing Sins multiplayer today with my friend over ICO. The issue seems to be not strictly multiplayer related though. This was for the first time i played the multi after quite some time, maybe five years or so. I used to play it with 2 other guys, not just one, playing bigger maps, playing more AIs and while it used to get somewhat laggy near the end of the games, i dont recall to be ever t

You complain about these personal barriers to your goals without describing the goals themselves (besides delicious boat loads of money). And if money was your interest, then was building quality video games the road to take? For anyone to make money in their industry, there is a syste
Of those in your list I watched the Aussie show, Glitch. Others were The 100 season 7 and Outlander season 5. As for the rest, I either didn't bother or was preoccupied with other things. To be honest, I've watched very little TV since Game of Thrones ended.... and decent shows on our regular free-to-air here in Australia have been sparse. Thing is, our free-to-air channels have free streaming channels that show a
Ray Tracing in a space game would be kind of a waste. It does best when there's something to reflect off of (water is a great example) that shows what it is reflecting.
Well, you dont have to use it for reflections, naturally thats a waste in environment with nothing to reflect :-) Although, suns, planets, nebulae... Anyway, i was more thinking about raytraced shadows, global illumination and stuff like tha
I would not recommend StarDrive considering what the dev did to their paying customers with both it and the sequel. RTS games and specifically RTS-4X is very niche I'm afraid. Don't really have any recommendations for you.
What did he do? I did not follow it that closely, so i am not aware.

Same with: ST Picard: They thought if they put in enough cameos, we would forgive the poor writing. Aside of Sins, only similar game i played, was StarDrive 1. It was more of a usual 4X game, more complex than Sins, i suppose in certain aspects more similar to those other games you listed (Endless Space, Stellaris). Later, it had second iteration, which was completely turn-based, that one i did not play, so cant comment. Regarding upcoming games, take a look at Falling Frontier. Will be probably close to Sins in gameplay and looks gorgeous.

So the other topic about Dark reminded me i used to have topic on shows i watched in 2015/16/17 here -> https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/474547/page/1/#replies and i watched quite a lot of stuff in 2020, especially, given pandemic and whatnot, i thought i could continue where i left off and make new 2020 related topic. So here we go, in 2020 i watched: <span style="fo

I loved the initial season of Dark, it was flawless all-around. The season 2 was bit weaker, but still quite good. The third one however, was a disaster IMO. By adding another level of complexity to already pretty complex show, it just became difficult to watch to me and not fun. Especially, when all of it was tied to the event from previous season, which aired year before and i did not remember every little detail. I honestly believe the creators went over the top, they have absolute winner
No ray tracing in Ashes. It's got its own PBR setup but ray tracing was well behind any hardware (And realistically beyond anything until you get to a Nvidia 3080 or AMD 6700).
Already have 3090, so no problem here :-P Anyway, do not really care about Ashes, if Sins 2 is coming, though, as alluded in the other topic, RT support would be awesome.

My favourite "scary" game was Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of Earth. Despite its incredibly shitty visuals, at least for the time it was released (2006 or so), somehow the game still had "atmosphere". It was first person game and there were times when your characters had no weapons to defend himself, so the only way to survive was to run! Playing the game actually prompted me to buy Lovecraft anthology books and read them - including the story the game was based on - to my surp

So i watched the PC Gaming show yesterday and then some Future game show and as usual, there were no games of interest to me presented. Well, few of them, maybe partially, but most likely not enough for me to buy. Like Twin Mirrors from DontNod, the creators of Life Is Strange, might be a good game. But then again, i am still yet to play LIS, apart from intial first 30 minutes or so...so why bother with a new one? Meanwhile, i bought CnC Remastered. After playing one campaign mission
