Wow, this is awesome. I mean, these things are super-interesting. Since i feel like all my memories are more or less visual in nature, i find it incredibly difficult to even imagine how can it be possible to have any memory at all without it for someone. I suppose there is direct connection between this and why i was always shit at math/algebra. If i cant visualize it in my mind, i am screwed. And abstract stuff like math is notoriously difficult to visualize.

I realize that everyone wants the game that they want, and it's frustrating at times when that doesn't happen. But really? The factions don't feel different enough to you in a Beta? You don't like the UI in a Beta? I personally am not a fan of buying Early Access games, and a lot for that reason. You may see something that is not complete yet, and have
As far as i am concerned, Sins:Rebellion remains superior game to Ashes Perhaps. But Sins Rebellion is Sins of a Solar Empire with 5 years of non-stop post-release development, DLC, expansions. We (Stardock/Ironclad) made Sins on $800k, that's less than 1/20th the budget SupCom 1.0 had (let alone FA). At this stage in Sins development,
Tough crowd. I liked FA. While I loved the complexity, it was too complex and click-intensive for my buddies to get into, so we didn't play it much. I also like Ashes. I think my buddies would enjoy it more because it's easier to understand the game state, accomplish your goals, and establish objectives. Seeing as how the lifecycle of this game is supposed to be at least 3 to 5 years, my guess is most of you all will be able to come ba
Thanks for the feedback. I can't say I agree with your views. The Substrate and the PHC look pretty visually different and work on fairly different mechanics. I always found the SupCom factions to be essentially the same with just some art differences but that's just me. As for turning Ashes into SupCom:FA, that decision was made long ago. While I like SupCom, we are

Totally agree with Cerzi, especially about extractors, there needs to be different/bigger/visually more prominent 3D model. I have hard time distinguishing between empty and populated resource node too.

I havent played the game too much, thats why i did not come across the Turinium generator victory before. Additionally, i guess everytime i played before, the game ended well before this became relevant, either by my win against Beginner AI or my loss to the Easy one [e digicons]:D[/e] . Bottom line, i might have overlooked something, but i stlll think some kind of counter in the mould of say "Haalee 120/1000" for example, the first number rising or not would give me more info whats goi

Post your beta impressions! Personally, i just played it and i have 2 things to say: - Substrate are way too much like PHC. Not enough faction diversity! I admit to prematurely overestimated Homeworld DoK in this regard, which turned out to be indeed great single-player game (IMO, as expected), but not so much of a superb multiplayer/skirmish game, i still stand by what i said before, Ashes faction (PHC) felt bland and Substrate are pretty much more of the same, sadly.</

I mean like what year are we in 2016 or 1996 even CnC had some B rate actors back in the day. Coded by 2nd rate coders same home-world game code just on the ground. graphics detail ... were is it for a game developed in 2016 my pc stayed ice cold for the duration of the game and i had it all MAXED, what you
Thanks for writing this. I'm digging into the empire tree today as a matter of fact.
Dont forget to code in the ability to switch it off completely, a thing sorely lacking in Sins. Cause despite Eviators enthusiasm, there are actually people (like me [e digicons]:)[/e] ), who in SIns never use it, consider it pointless and only taking away precious screen space, since... - i can pretty much see
Ugly mouse? I just do not pay enough attention to culture, so many things are over my head. The Star Trek series has some serious issues outside of fan grievances, similar issues, which hopefully means JJ not doing either of them will rectify such issues. Since Nemesis, the plot device of choice has been saving Earth from a super ship capable of laying waste to the "Enterprise" with little trouble.&nb

And while StarCraft had no doubt way bigger budget than Ashes, i think those money mainly into fancy single campaign

What was the most compelling part of the latest movie? That's right, and its compelling because we care about the character, not because it was a cool action scene. So can we have some info about Substrate now, before they actually become playable? So far AFAIK, the only piece of info was that they have shields unlike PHC...but what else? Do they have different base construction mechanics? Harvest different stuff, or same stuff differently? Do they have different unit roster? Any other special abilities and traits beyond those shields? Like say ability to cloak, teleport, mind control, have some affinity to high-tech stuff, defenses, long range combat or

IMO the planes need overall overhaul. They need to be made to return to airfield to rearm, bombers at least. Currently they differ from ground units only by their "virtue" of being airborne, thus counterable only by select few AA units. And thats it. No finesse to their use. If there were gunships added to the game, the only difference between them and bombers would be ones flying in circles, while others hovering above same spot.

If games can have thread like this, TV shows deserve one of their own too... Personally i watched: 12 Monkeys : not the best show ever and on occasion bit of a míndfuck, but overall i enjoyed and look forward to second season. I am sure many people would hate it, pick plotholes and whatonot and granted, it has its weaknesses, but its a show that makes you actually think, what is going on and guess, what might happen next. That is alw

I really dont like the part about those newbie traps. Things like that lead to shit like optimal build orders and whatnot, in other words create situation, when eventually you got to the same series of steps at the beginning of the match, if you dont want to lose... i think all the choices presented to player at the beginning of the match should be equally meaningful and only wrong depending on the situation (what the opposing player is doing)....and not dead ends by default.
