wraid they dont test every different type of hardware config that would take eyons and u were not here when it first came out so u can't say there is no bugs.
Any dev shop for any type of boxed software that is expected to run on multiple types of machines should have a systems testing team that tests the software against a myriad of hardware combinations.. .. and yet DG still crashes constantly for me..
Hardly. Stardock's lack of experience with Multiplayer titles is to blame for the entire connectivity problem we saw at launch. However, they stepped up and corrected this issue. Problem solved.
While connectivity may be much improved from launch (ie not working), it is not nearly "Problem solved". How often do you get a 5v5 up and running smoothly?
A slight correction: Stardock did not fund Demgiod, Gas Powered Games basically self funded Demigod.
What I took from that link was that Stardock took over the project at some point, provided the capital to finish development, provided the capital to market and distribute the game, put their name on the box, took on the customer service and support, and gets a fat share of the proceed

ZehDon.. what drives your rabid and angry positivity for this game? You remind me of a religious zealot who wants to slaughter anyone who doesn't want to share their heaven with them. A publisher is ultimately responsible for the game. They finance the development. They supervise the development process. They call the shots. How many times have you seen good publishers swap dev teams on a project? Blizzard moved StarCraft Ghost to different dev studios twice before canning t
Wait wait wait... are you seriously telling frogboy to be like the average CEO? Hell, most CEO's couldnt give a rats ass what you say let alone read the crap you post and deffenitatly wouldnt give you the time of day to reply. I dont even know what promises you are complaining about, the 2 demigods? What the devil man, would this be the first time something in the gaming industry couldnt meet the time window presented? As a CEO you ar

Regardless of any other arguments, having the CEO of a company having these irrational emotion-driven decisions seems ridiculous, immature, and unprofessional. The state of delivery of software projects (and this extends beyond gaming) sucks for everyone involved right now. A company that builds to spec spends just as much resources defining what they will deliver to a client, and the client still doesn't understand/wants more. If someone pushes and they get something extra for free,
Personally, I'm done with the Demigod community. That's just me personally. Kryo and Istari people will still be here but I'd rather spend my free time elsewhere. I'll check in from time to time but I don't find the atmosphere here to be one I want to be part of. Good luck.
!), but that's all they can do, as far as i know. And that's why i'm worried about, GPG are just like 99% of the devs out there, they are not known to support their games long enough. They allready work on Dungeon Siege 3 and SupCom 2, so they look pretty busy in the future. Imo, if they can't continue the work on DG in the future, what should
WTF does this have to do with common sense. FrogBoy is the CEO of stardock, right? Umm.. sorry I am such a noob - I expected a game I purchased to work. If I had as much experience as you stardock fanboys then I would know then I was just forking over money for something that shouldn't be actually expected to perform. As the game developer, Stardock made a decision between building code in-house or saving money/time by buying a 3rd party solution. Part of that decision is an understanding that the 3rd party code is out of your control and if you run into issues
Personally I think thats taking advantage of Stardock's return policy. The game is solid as you said, if you can't deal with some growing pains then I suggest going to console games.
This is exactly what the return policy is for! Returns aren't allowed because you personally don't find the game to be enjoyable, they are allowed when you can't even play the frickin game to find out if you like it or not!

I agree that something needs to be eased up when dying early. An early death sets you so far behind that it is very difficult to recover from it. Not only does the enemy now have better items, but the time you are sitting on the sideline (this includes getting yourself back to the action) can often put you a couple levels behind. The makes you the automatic focus target from the enemy team, pretty much eliminating you from ever getting back into the action. It is true that in a tradit
