All of the things said above are well and good, but theres one thing they are all forgetting. You have to say his quotes out loud, preferrable over VOIP, and at least once every 2 or 3 minutes you have to type one out for the opponents to read. Several of my favorite: 1. Ice Ice baby... 2. The weather outside is...frightful! 3. I...hate...you...ALL! <br
I usually roll the points with 1. blizzard1 2. frost aura1 3. fireball1 4. blizzard2 5. frost nova 6. fireball2 7. fireball3 Blizz early for lane grinding to level 7 as fast as possible and then you can really dent towers and enemy demis hard. Frost nova really helps for taking down towers since it stops their attacks temporarily and slows of demi's caught in it if you need to run. 8. deep freeze (for the interupt) Usually

Sooo I'm guessing this is the thread for people who don't want Team Pantheon? Personally I can't wait till Team Pantheon becomes a reality. For the record, people complain about premades in customs as well if not more. I happen to fall in the very large and undefined category of "premade" because I have 2 RL friends and 1 brother who I like to play games with, and this is currently that game. We are definetely not great players by any stretch of the word, ranging from 60% to 20% win r
Questioning the validity of his post is not a personal attack. At least you were honest enough to admit that your customs are premades. Good for you.
How sure are you that all my customs are premade... I play 100% custom games and I have a record of 53-37 (58.9%). And Rob has a record of 36-7 (83.7%) Hmm....I have 90 games played and Rob has 43 games played yet without knowing anyone else in this game I somehow pl
lol Rob plays custom because as of now thats the only way we can play together. And even though our custom records are custom records they are decent enough to be considered average to good. But when we end up with a player with a 10-55 record(not a joke or exageration), its a little more than annoying especially when the game says "good players". A good player doesn't have a 15% win ratio. Thats the complaint. And when records are shown in matchmaking it wont be much of an is
So are you saying this doesn't happen in an offline game? If so that would be particularly strange. Its already an odd problem as it is. First thing I can suggest is making sure your video drivers are using the most current. If you recently updated them, maybe revert to a previous one as a test. Next step would be to set your video options to the lowest settings and see if the problem is fixed. Then slowly turn on more and more options until the problem reoccurs(hopefully it d
I'm very sorry about the unstable connections of my ISP this morning. My modem repeatedly desync'd to my ISP and they are working on their network. Sorry for the dropped games [e digicons]#:([/e]
I think the ladder rankings need to be visible in-game though so that they're a useful tool for everyone, not just the small portion of the playerbase who tabs out to check stats every game.
I don't think anyway can argue with the need for this.
As a long-term goal removing custom game rankings make sense, but only when team auto-matching is impelmented.
Weren't you arguing against this before? I only read the TL:DR part. Not trash talking, I'm actually surprised you changed your perspective on it. Glad we can agree on it.
I don't think the issue is "premade" in general its playing against a coordinated attack. 3 people who decide to just start playing are technically a premade even though most likely they suck to start. I think 3 good players can go against a premade and win. So yea I think we do need some sort of rank to be shown in the matchmaking section.
Frogboy doesn't earn his paycheck by dealing with us directly. That was not in his job description. His being here was totally voluntary and pretty much because he believed in the possibility of communication with the people who love the game or at least have some constructive feedback. And he should be highly commended for that, especially for how long he did it. But unfortunately the internet is faceless and people will say anything when they don't have to own up to it face to face.
He's not gone, he just wont be on these forums for a while. Really, this thread was supposed to be a "Support Stardock" where the appreciation was supposed to come out and I think Frogboy probably came in here to find some inspiration to keep on being part of our community and putting himself in the line of fire for people and their venom filled comments. Instead he catches even MORE heat and simply put he got sick of it. Though I'm not happy he is gone I completely empathize
Trust me, I'm not worried about my record..its only at like 60% or something. My bro is like 35% and my buddy is like 80-90%. Its not exactly "ranking" that I care about, but I do enjoy the tracking and looking at our history of games together and see if we're improving, and we discuss this as a group pretty much daily on our morning drives to work. Removing all tracking from custom games without giving us a way to play teams in skirmish/pantheon pretty much takes half the fun out of
You can still play all the games you want with your friends, it's not like the current rankings are meaningful anyway. The way people currently get to the 'top' is by stomping pubs over and over and over. There's no concern over the quality of games, just the quantity and outcome. The result is that the pantheon/skirmish rankings are meaningless and the teams are never reasonably balanced because of it. Ha
I play Demigod with my brother and my RL friend and the only way we can play together is through custom games. Though I have no problem with seperating Pantheon/Skirmish stats from custom, I have no desire to have my custom games untracked. Unless you allow us a join as group option for Pantheon. Seriously the only reason we play is because we can play together and taking away stat tracking for custom would generally suck overall. Maybe you can make the custom tracking WAY less r
9 dollars is definetely a fair price to pay for additional content. Remember guys, this game has NO SUBSCRIPTION FEE. So there is no steady income they get from the established community(that would be us). Extra revenue would be generated through the DLC which is currently being stated at or around 2 new demigods for 9 bucks. Or they could just put out 4 demi's and a few maps in an expansion pack for 25 bucks. I'd pay for that too because I want to support the company that maintains the
