Thanks for your reply Stant123 i checked my options and i'd forgotton to turn the graphics down [e digicons]:S[/e] . Feel a bit silly really. On another note, i enabled DS 0.99 B2 and the checksum matches, ok. I enable powerful pirates and move it above DS and the checksum changes to 147616975. I have been playing DS for some time now and i absolutely love the deeper gameplay it provides. But i have a problem as my system is lower end. I love playing Distant stars, the problem is by todays standards my computer is pretty low end. But i can still play the mod despite all of the extras and enjoy the game thoroughly. DS however on the larger mags that i prefer slow down and sort of lags after a while of playing, even after botting computer and reloading it seems to keep at the same level of lag. How do you guys micro subverters effectively in bigger battles. The problem i have is in ther bigger battles I have to stack the empire tree to fit everything into the screen because of all the SC and whatnot. So i click on a stack of subs and then zoom in to the battle to pick 1 and attack. Btw i zoom with roll of the mouse wheel, if there is a hot key to that plz tell :P Is there a more efficient way to micro scecifics of your fleet?

I have downloaded the distant stars mod, read the readme but i dont have the correct filepath, i have tried extracting to the sins folder and the entrenchment folder but i cant get it to appear in the game. has anyone else had this problem? and how did you solve it? i have also tried advide about changing folder options so you can view hidden folders, but unfortunatly i cant find folder options in either the tool menu or control panel

Ive been playing sins on single player for a while and while i get annilalated on mp ive recently come across the forums and am interested in modding the game with some of the things ive seen here. I play mainly against ai and a little online but im still considered a noob. Ive got the early games expansion down, and i can do it at least decently in multiplayer. I play as advent, use the mothership with a few lf as support to col and a couple lfs and a col ship to take roids to get me set up. The problem lies in gettin a decent econ up and teching up to illums, carriers and guardians quickly whilst getting a decent fleet up and running all at the same time.

i downloaded the repays posted on the forums followed the instructions on where to put them and then i open up sins to watch the games but i cant find them, i have no idea what im doing wrong. ive tried puttin them in various folders and still nothing, any ideas?
