Good to know about your point about entrenchment. I dont' own it currently because I bought the game recently and am still enjoying the it pre-expansion. One question is, how does the AI or any human player know who is #1 in terms of military or economy? Is it by scouting to see who has the most planets and ships owned? Ironically, on this map I rarely have the best economy and military (as seen by viewing reports when exiting the match) and I still get

While playing the Kronac's Cross map I've noticed that when it comes to pirates, the computer players only bid against me and never the other players. This happens no matter how what the current bid values are. For example, even though I bid 1000 on two of the other players, there won't be a bidding war between the two and somehow the bids increase only against me. I've not noticed this in any other map I've played which seems to indicate a bug. Anyone else notice
