I have nothing against the Russian or Chinese people... I don't trust their governments... but I don't trust ours either, so that even
Sigh, despite my past disagreements with lifekatana and his views, I agree with him on this one. There is currently little to no benifit of going to the moon, or mars, for that matter. We don't need people on Mars to take the samples we need and we don't need a moon base to get a probe to Europa. P.S. I like to play space games like SINS because I know that the likelyhood of it ever happening is only a little greater then
Uhm what? This is a great thing. Now this money can go to actual usefull things instead of incredibly ineffiecient worthless useless moon flights.
incredibly ineffiecient worthless useless moon flights??? If it wasn't for those "Useless" moonflights, you wouldn't be writing something so ignorant on a PC, because we wouldn't have PC'S!!!!!! So much of what you take for granted today came from those

Yeah, we can still go to the Space Station... whoopie... But to defund the Constillation Program??? It was one of the best things Bush did, but now it's all gone. No more moon shot, no more trying to get to Mars, and more importantly Europa???&nbs
Obama just cut all funding to NASA??? WHAT??? That's the last straw... I'm officially against ALL politicians now!!!
OK, I spotted a small graphic problem on the Borg Coffin... a small white rectangle (or 2 small squares) in the top and bottom near the front of the ship. I think it maybe showing up right after they assimilate a ship, but I'm not positive about that part. It doesn't seem to be effecting the game play in any way, just doesn't look right. As for game play... I was just now really astounded to watch 4 Borg coffins take down a Pirate base by themselves. I set
Ahhh, cool. I'm patching mine now. One thing I noticed and was just going to post... might be too late now.... is I'm playing the Borg and I see where I can research the light frigate (I'm assuming the coffin), but I can also build it without researching anything. The other thing I noticed... not necessarily a bug, is the pirate ships occupying other worlds are really slow compaired to my ships... My little Borg scouts are literally flying circles around
So far the only thing I've noticed is what has alread been mentioned... no uni-complex and the Borg starting with Romulin scouts. Other than that it seems to be playing quite smoothly. Any ETA on the Uni-complex? I hate seeing cubes circling a Vasari station...
You guys are the greatest!!! I just downloaded my copy... I have to take my daughter to school in half an hour, then the rest of the day is mine! hehehe. It's too cold in the garage to be making any new flutes, so I have nothing else to do all day but give this a test run!!! THANK YOU!!!!
[e digicons]:borg:[/e] WOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If I ever meet any of you guys I am so buying the beer!!!!
Stress, good to see you're back on your feet. I agree the increase in meshes and textures is a great thing, but the timing couldn't be worse. Oh well. I blame Q. As for the Alexandria... that intelligance report suggests that massive thing that took her out is a Borg Unicomplex contructor??? Wow! I guess it would have to be big to begin with, and it looks like it can defend itself, whatever it is... this is not good...lol... Guys,
B'rel... wow. My personal favorite ship of all times... fast, light and oh so deadly, especially when the armor and such is upgraded. I like to bunch these into small squadrons and let then let them loose... If I could have any ship in real life, then give me a small squad of these beauties over any big capital ship anyday...
Quoting Vulturev4, reply 326 Oh boy. I wonder if its going to mess up the mods... again. OK UPDATE TIME. This patch WILL BREAK THE MOD!!!! We on the Soa2 team have been informed of the scope of the changes that are to come. Ic is simply rewriting the entire sins engine!!!!! With that means ALOT of stuff will change. We will be r
Opps, maybe I mis-spoke... I didn't mean making Species 8472 a playable race... NOOOOOOOO. What I meant is every planet starts with a few ships orbiting it... their "planatary militia" according to the Scenario.def file. My idea is to make meshes of just a few oddball ships from races you see now and then on different Treks: Vuncan, Andorian, B'jorian, whoever you like... more important whatever there is decient pics and reference material to go by... and make these into th
Does anyone remember "Best of Both Worlds?" The collective didnt have a leader then. They chose picard to become thier "voice" as Locutus. It was Gene Roddenburys idea that they shouldnt have any central organization at all. Every being functioned, and thought as one. Redundancy, Adaptation, and being Relentness was what they were all about. THAT was the "Oh Shit!" Borg we all knew, and loved. The the Killer B's (berman and braga) introduced
I'm done with this thread.. After reading all of this all I can conclude is maybe we do need some sort of mega-disaster to wipe humans off the Earth so an "Intelligant" species can replace us!!! Maybe cockroaches... yeah, cockroaches. Because honestly, I think a cockroach is more intelligant than some of the things I just read. So long, I'm off to go wait for the Star Trek mod to get finished... I'm done arguing with idiots.
I always thought having a " Queen" calling the shots was weak and went against the idea of a "Collective" mind. Just the idea of a central entity controling everything goes against the idea of "The Collective". One has to wonder where the idea of a queen came from? Maybe the Borg came up with it from assimilating too many human ideas? Or perhaps it was a way to understand humanity, something along the lines of turning Picard to Loqutus of Borg??? And now
Oh yeah............ this is gonna be fun!!!
Also, those of you who play solo like just_jim will be excited to hear that the AI in the new build plays outstandingly well (I may have mentioned that already), so single player is actually a lot of fun. If you plop down for your first game and set the AI enemies to "unfair," don't expect to win unless your name is STARTREKKER.
Oh really??? AWESOME!!!!! This has been one of my biggg

My prize was my lionfish. After a couple years he had grown to nearly 10 inches nose to tail, and ate 6-8 feeder goldfish a day. Then I joined the Navy and had to give the tank away to a neighbor. I was a bit careless when I was transferring him, and I got stung on my thumb. Nasty thing, lion
unicomplex???? woohoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No, his comments were directed at me.. and everyone else that doesn't agree with him: There is a word for such an attitude. Its called being irresponsible. Well, my attitude is all these AGW followers want to fix a problem with the EARTH'S ENVIRONMENT that doesn't exist!!! I've seen ideas for fixing this mythical problem from shooting iron filings into the atmosphere to painting all the roofs
