Just downloaded the Dynamic Battle system... OMG that is the BEST!!! Now everyone is chasing everyone else around like they should have been all along! It totally changes the game, and works well with the Celestial Bodies Mod. I haven't tried it on others... but it's a simle thing actually, it should be easy to merge with other ones. I love it, thanks for the heads up on it!

The Bump maps aren't working? That's why it looked so "flat". so to speak. Weird. I'd double and triple check all the numbers first... bump height, etc... before I scrapped it and tried again. Most of the time I had a problem it turned out to be a decimal point off or something else small but annoying and hard to spot. Are your poly's double sided? Could some be flipped around backwards? I've had that happen too, and the bump was actually showing inside the model
Hey Stress, you snuck in a picture while I was writing... VERY cool. But I can't see from that angle what you mean by the lighting being weird. From what I can see the color scheme is got that weird Klingon Green to it just right.
lazerface, I don't know that anyone has actually set a release date. If you've played the Vanilla version from that you can see these guys are going to an insane amount of work to make this look right. I'm just hoping they have it done by the END of summer...lol. Plus, unfortunately, you have to factor in Entrenchment 1.03 coming out. Now granted this Mod is supposed to be for 1.03... but one can never really know until the upgrade is actually released... t
I definitly like the new look, and I'm happy with the capital ships abilities.. Only problem is I'm having a problem getting the Celestial Bodies " patch " mod to work. I downloaded the new one for Requium 2.2, but it's still not working. I'm gonna double check it tomorrow, maybe I've got a wrong version of something somewhere.. i have so many versions now...lol. I did it as instructed, and put the 3 Mods in the order it says, but I'm not getting Empire or Alliance. <p
Stress... cool! I'm having a bit of a problem here getting this damned card to work. It's perfectly "Vista Compatible", so of course my system doens't want to recognize it... Grumble!!! No biggie, just windows being a pain, I'll get it figured out here quick. Once I'm running I'll pm you about what you need done.

I have't played 2.2 yet... just downloaded it. But 1 thing tht bugged me is the Imperial Capital ships abilities seem very limited. Can you add a few more, maybe mix it up some? Something like "adaptive shielding" (or whatever it's called) would actuallly fit the storyline if you think of ObiWan taking down the DeathStars Shields in movie 4. And 1 of them should definitly be able to nuke a planet.. this is the Empire for gods sake...lol!!! Anything to make them a bit diffe
Hey guys, Thanks for the compliments! OK, here's the deal, I have to install a parallel port card today. What a pain in the ass! I don't know if any of you have come across it, but my copy of lightwave comes with a "Software lock". Stupid sort of parallel port connector. And it it isn't attached, the program doesn't work. Nifty for keeping lightwave from being pirated, but not if you have a new HP maching with NO parallel ports! Oh well, I have a Parallel port

UE Carbon No, I did it right. Something is still crashing. I'm making up a bunch of Galaxy maps with different planets, and only a few so far have crashed. I'm gonna see if I can pin down exactly what's causing it.

I'm getting frustrated, still getting a lot of Mini-dumps on startup, maybe 50% of the time with 0.81.
I'm getting really frustrated with Distant Stars and constant mini-dumps. I like the CB and Star-Wars Requiem combo much better and I'm making up a map for it including our solar system and Alpha Centauri system called "Invasion Earth". It should be done tomorrow. The idea is player 1 as the Empire, working your way your homebase in Alpha Centauri and eventually ending at Earth. To make it real interesting I'm going to isolate the stars, so the only way to jump fro
