Letting the outer towers go down early sometimes helps you with the game. It gives the other team the false belief that it is okay to venture deeper into your territory, and usually you can double around and trap them easier.

[quote who="ippi" reply="10" id="2248814"]What about fixing the issues that makes a ragequitter rage? Like the BLACK SCREEN OF PURE PUNISHMENT for 30 seconds when you die? Make adjustments to the small things. For instance, let players be able to shop while they are dead. Or anything that requires some thinking instead of raging. Sure, a good player review system would probably help (make people feel they have a reputation that could get ruined,
So instead of punishing rage quiters...why don't you award players who stay to the end of the game even if they lose with a little more favor points then the 10-20 you usually get? IE: Winning nets you 100-200 points depending on how well you do, while losing nets you 50-100 instead of 0-30. That way you can lose a few games and still get some decent points as long as you stay till the very end. Leaving should always give you no favo
At the end of each match you could pop up a window that allows you to vote on each players sportsmanship with a simple 1-10 rating. As long as you show the amount of votes the person got, and their average score, people can determine more then if they are a rage quiter. You could tell if a player is a jerk and a noob as well.
The only fair thing to do is to never rage quit. I vow to never leave a match early on purpose, no matter how much of a beat down I am in for, period. Unless something in the real world is going horribly wrong, like a fire, a pissed of wife, or underpants gnomes.
[quote quoting="post"] Disregarding the fact that the number of disconnections counter on my profile page doesn't count up properly (another broken thing), it doesn't show the truth behind why I disconnected: 20% of the time I get an unhandled exception which crashes the game. 20% of the time I loose connections to another player and get booted (1.01 might fix this, I don't know). 60% of the time, another player crashes, looses connection or rage quits,

*UPDATE2* Played two long matches last night! What a blast! I am going to stick with this game and hope they can get the bugs ironed out. This game has way too much promise to just stop playing it. To everyone having trouble out there, don't give up on your connection issues! It is worth the wait.
*UPDATE* Went home, changed around all my settings, enabled DMZ on my router...still nothing. Ditched the router and hooked my PC straight to the modem...and now I can finally play a match! WOOT!
Also having the same problems. I have ports 6100-6200 open on my router, windows firewall set up to allow Demigod, and I use a shortcut with "/serverproxyonly" to play demigod. When I attempted to join a custom game, everyone connects to each other and then gets stuck connecting to me. Then I either give up or they boot me out of the match. I also see that some of the other players have "(proxied)" next to their names. Is that only displayed when you use "/se
