try download the version from the account registration page. 3.4gb non steam version sometimes a steam backup you cant login (within demigod) friend had same issue and had to use non steam version. also try locate the demigod.exe withing the installation folder, and run as administrator...

I have always stated my opinion, that animations of my Unclean beast -- foul grasping other characters balls off would add fun factor to the game. or sedna attempting to heal certain holes after erebes ripped a new one

I am a big fan of real time strategy. Looking quickly over this game, looks like could be good, as there is a large beta testing community. BUT............. I need a DEMO of the game (1 map in multiplayer) to know if i like to game STYLE. Is there plan to make a playable muliplayer DEMO for people who dont know if they will like the game?
@ Mix, why go downhill and play worse games? DG is the gameplay king of this genre and i wont bother playing hon or lol. if another game comes that eclipses demigod or matches DG but with better netcode i will then play this genre again. until then... i have recently rediscovered citybuilders in Tropico3 and anno1404 (Cities XL sucked bullocks and is 20x as bad as any issues you have ever had with DG) the rest of my time is
i am referring mostly to the better layout steam uses. You load default steam page and it makes you wanna look at the games, and buy something! You look at impulse page and it shows a couple of titles, you may click on 1, much less chance of an impulse buy. pun intenended Impulse needs to pay some1 38 hours a week to copy the shizit outta steam so they can boost sales.
but Impulse have still not mimiced STEAM. Take a look at steam frontpage - many games on display and navigation is Easy. Also games have easy acess to demos and videos. Impulse had 4 games on the catalouge listed in easy to view (where steam has 10 - and next page quick to load) - pages take a long time to load on impulse. Steam you can move back and forth very quick, almost like firefox with the back/forward/
It has been roughly 2 weeks, nightly I wait online for games, and no aussies come. If you come back wondering where i am, i have left as it took an average of 2hrs to find a game. Until supcom2, i will see you there if you care to take me on.
I recenlty purchased a 1900*1200 dot samsung montior and moved it to portrait mode. upon launching DG the game would not launch = telling me my GFX drivers were out of date! (cata 9.12 and latest DX installed) upon several tries i cahnged back to landscape and the game launched. Why cant the game hande portrait?

I would have liked to see a couple of forts pop up at (lvl7?) the creep waves overlapping gives XP very easy, could they be made to run a small distance apart so harder to kill? i tried fortress mode (against AI) There was no gold generator - i earned no gold, the forts of enemy were on MY side of the map and there was no friendly forts forts present (the last one was probably because ai was used - as he was missing in action mabey my forts were

I agree with this, i have been to EB lately and they hate pc (for no good reason) If indeed most games goto DD by 2011, stardock could grow in size considerabally, if they upgrade their stuff and keep with the times... your thoughts?
Hi Frogboy, As i see not there mabye 1000 people interested in buying 2 more maps (2v2 or 3v3 - no larger) I am taking a wild guess that 1k people actively play this online, obviously if they sink 4 hours a night into DG (or even 1 ) then 2 more maps will add HUGE value to their gameplay experience (at a small price) Can you give us hard numbers on active players? this currenty is what minons are doing for Occulas, let me tell you it sucks. Due to occulas range my minotors dont go forth and help me, they sit behind. In hindsite, bring back the auto moving minions !
To be honest, the system with this patch was a big pain. I do not have impules icon loaded by defaut, neither do i have steam, once per month i MAY** check impulse store, but would have probably missed the oculas anyhow. Finding some games for sale on impulse is also tricky sometimes. Just to let you know, impulse still need a ways to go to be as good as steam, until then just NOT ANNOUNING content and expecting people to RANDOMLY STUBLE upon it wont work.
@ Kyro, Any word on why 2 times a week or so I cannot login, or all Lobby is slow, like server shut down not working? I have 5 playable nights, when one of these is ruined by stardock servers not working I want BETTER server service Any plans to scrap useless server stats to improve server performance? Also what is stardock's official support period for demigod? I ask this as EA shut games down after 1 year...

awufflea, i dont want more DG, though that would be nice we want stardock coded stuff (LOBBY) *(internet connection establishment) Fixed. If stardock promised better lobby by X date, judging on demigod release scheduals, you could expect 8 months later
What you all dont relize : GPG made supreme commander Demigod is the exact same engine. Supreme commander worked - and very rarely lagged Demigod laggs a lot, crashes a lot. Demigod did away with GPG net (GPG) and starts game using stardock system Most conncetivity issues / freezes occur in lobby which is STARDOCK side.
The lobby is all handled by stardock. Once in game we dont get issues. All issues are happening when trying to get a game toghether in lobby. Perhaps you dont experience this issue as you play in a different timeslot? I am from Australia, timeslot is usually 2 hours from now - till 5 hours from now playtime.
Hi Stardock, Yesterday I went to play online. Upon opening demigod I clicked on "internet" After 3 minutes i had to alt tab and close demigod due to freezing up. After 3 tries of this i got to login screen, which took many many minutes to log me into the custom game section. Trying to join, or host a game was also very very slow. This is not the first time this has occured. This has happened around once every 2 weeks.

Why did rook not buy $1500 armor to replace the $400 armor? That wouldave given him the health to survive some situations. Also why choose rook role at lvl5 when you couldnt use it till lvl 7 due to lack of mana?? Wouldave been better with a +stat bonus for that slot. Also rook used hammer slam, but always to low level i think. by the time rook had lvl10 hammer it was already lost, buying hammer late game sucks as DPS by arm is better at this point in th
