I've checked the file, and the LastGameAddressConnectedTo string contained a newline, I removed it and now it uses the settings on startup. I'm guessing when I copy-pasted the ip I had a newline in the paste. and though the game had no problem connecting or writing it to a file, it had problems parsing the settings file because it parses by line. So I guess I found a bug (the string not being sanitized before written to the settings file). I don't

I've followed the same steps again with Process Monitor open this time, and I found that it succesfully reads from C:\Users\[user]\AppData\Local\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Setting\diplomacy.user.setting at startup, it also writes the changes successfully. It just doesn't use what it finds for some reason.
