Of course he's a troll...for one, he made a new thread in the mod section (and really, who does that anymore???)...
You know, this could be taken the wrong way the way it was worded. I made a new post in the mod forum to get some feed back and I am new to this just as of recently...

I have two thoughts on this and it may run into something that is small fry stuff but... A. Spawning Titans like they are going out of business could hit that 2 Gig cap with possible existing changes one might bring in to deal with the titan mass. B. Is it possible to cycle titan builds so you have a visual mark to tell in fast order what titan is what... A visual interface to know them a part is in personal experience, seriously

Ok, Gonna share an all to honest and real story here, that is funny only after the fact. I had a teacher who was a total butt in my low poly modeling class. I was used to modeling with the faces so I could make it close to what my image was that I had drawn. He said that was incorrect and that I should model your way. Well there was a point where the Vertex's (also the correct and longer name for them) over lapped in such a way as to become i

@Alexrose: My hat goes off to you sir. After trying to model myself before college, I was unable to do it. Only during college did I ever get the basics as to what I should do and what was possible. Now, it has freed me entirely. My only concern is that if you are only working in viewing the Verts (yes that is a true term) then you could possibly be doing yourself more harm then good once you become more complex. If you can, you might want

@Major Stress, You seem to be one of the bigger modders around the threads from what I have been seeing. Any advice as to who I would talk to, to be able to get a copy of the mesh for the asteroids? On top of that, I have been seeing posts by you and others about the amount of polys this game throws around... What values one should try to work with to work with this engine? Either way, thank you for all the help you have already

Texturing is a lot like modeling in the fact that sometimes you cannot learn it on your own, and sometimes you can. I know for myself that it took college to teach me to model, but texturing came naturally later. So each individual is gonna come from a different learning curve and we should respect that.

Yes, I am aware of a poly increase when using a biological view point. I currently run things like the photoshop package, 3DS Max/Maya, Mud box, ect. There is also a lot you can do with normal maps, and that means you take a low poly creation and add a high poly look to it. This might be one of those options when I do that since this is al

While this is a good idea, and it has merit... There is a lot of areas that would have to be looked at as a whole. Historical wise... Online or MMORTS has never had good experiences in the beta tests due to logging out or even at times one player taking over other people's sections and then having them log in on top of them. The lane phasing has merit. I think maybe you should only be able to phase a max amount of planets. Force questions and make them

GoaFan77 , Thank you for such hard hitting questions. I should have answered them but that just goes to show that college no matter what age, melts your brain. Let's start with goals... If I run with the bio race, and lets face it... It is a personal favorite. I am going to start slow and build it up.&nb

Hello folks, I am new to modding with Sins and I wanted to throw out some ideas to see what you all might think of to get a general poll if you will. Some of my reasons for doing this is to save time, and to find out what others in the modding community might find interest in. Several teachers have told me throughout my college degree on game design that I should take polls or get a feeling for what others might feel would be interesting. This is an at

Ok, you wish to spawn fleets that would stay in system... Why not try to modify the fighter/bomber/mine field option? Then you have fleets of ships that act like a fighter screen but use the stats and/or options of the ship(s) in question. Now, no, this would not create a massive fleet right away, but it could be used to create a small militia force within a gravity well that could not leave it. Would this qualify as something you were after?

Over 17 years ago when I wanted to get into game design, back in the days that modding equaled to possibly working in Basic just to change things around... Those were times when you could not mod easily without serious and painstaking learning, hacking and so on... (See seriously long A** work). Then to try to get back into it and see a post like this? <a id="ctl00__Content__LinkAuthor" class="Article_Author hand" title="Click author name
