Help with moving to different star systems in Sins of a Solar Empire Sins Forums

So I just bought sins a few days ago and really enjoy the game and was excited to play larger games with multiple suns. The only problem was that I couldn't figure out how to get to the other suns, I explored everywhere that I could and tried clicking on the other sun but was unable to get there. Other races could get to me without problems but I could not get to them. I even researched everything but to no avail. What am I doing wrong? Is there a simple solution
