I definitely agree with the idea that Titan explosions should be both impressive and damaging. Anyone remember Freespace? I remember many a time where I was afterburning away from a dying capital ship, going "omgomgomgomg", hoping I didn't get splattered by the shockwave(s).
Noticed that Titans are only given 20 points of upgrades, but have 25 points of abilities to spend them on. Does anyone know how to change the total number of upgrade points a titan gets?
Was there a change to the way shields worked in Rebellion? In diplo, Entrench, and vanilla, it was my experience that you wore through shields first and then hull was affected. The only weapon to subvert this rule was the vasari phase missile. Just now, I had to pull my Eradica Titan out of a fight because its shields were nearly topped off but its hull was about to fail. I was fighting Advent loyalists, and I have to ask. Is there some kind of strange shield bypass thing going on wit

I have to say I'm a little disappointed in Stardock's track record with game stability. I think we can all remember the broken CTD festival that was Elemental: War of Magic, and now, here it is again with Sins. My Dad's been away on a trip for the last 2 weeks, and he's coming home today. And in response to your advice, it is appreciated, but in a big knockdown, no-holds-barred battle of Endor that crops up occasionally in Sins, Guardians taking a third of the damage from everything near them can have their shields drained pretty dang quick. Far faster than Progenitors can replenish them. So, I just needed a few more in the pack so their protection would last the entire melee.
In my games, I've found that the Advent need quite a few Iconus Guardians. I'd personally like to see close to 20-30 in my main attack fleet so their protection lasts the entire battle, but the stacking graphical effects makes my graphics card cry blood. So, I'd just like to delete the graphical effect but keep the rest of the ability as is. Can someone please explain how I could go about doing that?
I've recently been having this problem in the Galaxy forge where, once a substantial amount of planets are on the screen, 70-90, the editor begins hanging on every single action. Meaning that you can click on a planet, wait 5 seconds for the selection ring to appear, right click, wait another 5 seconds, click on "add phase lane", wait another few seconds for the cursor to change, and then click on a planet and wait a little longer for it to show up. Later on in some games, there is this constant background hum that kind of sounds like a phase jump charging up, but in lower pitch. It's kind of annoying, and it persists even if I save and then re-load the game. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Sorry, I mispoke. He just updated the drivers. there has been no hardware change. Also, just a few minutes ago, he got a blue screen of death in regards to the Windows Video Memory Manager. He was changing the resolution at the time, and had decreased it to it's minimum, trying to fix the choppiness in the frigate icons. Seeing that this had no effect, he brought it back up to max, and thats when it died on him.

a printer runs in the background sometimes, but he turns that off as soon as it annoys him. It's not really doing anything, it's software is just really crappy. He just updated his NVIDIA graphics card to the latest model, but for some reason, the icons are still shaking and skipping. For the life of me, I can't figure it out. And to answer your question, the crashes happen at complately random times.

This is really starting to piss me off. I downloaded this thing, and I don't even know what half of the crap in there is for. I open up "harpos_SINS_mod_updater.exe", which is the only thing to my eye that looks like I can do anything with, and when I try to do anything with it, it gives me a crash message reading "Run-time error '76: Path not found" I remember a time where I didn't have to take a fucking computer class to mod this game. Does anyone else think that Stardock REALLY fucked up the modding scene for this game? Seriously, it was perfectly fine before! It was so easy my Dad was doing it. Now, we're running converdata.whateverthefuck, and reading entire paragraphs on the thing that was released not even working to being with. I, for one, would like things back to the way they used to be. Y'know, open a file with WORDPAD, make your changes, save, play. Keep it simple, Stardock.
Stardock, what the hell did you do?! Before, the txt files were simple and easy to mod! Now, they just look garbled and half the files from before aren't even there. I hate it when I patch a game, and instantly regret doing so. Does anyone have any information on how to work with the Gameinfo files, and mod the pop cap, planet logistics/tactical details, etc?
