I used wings for over a year. and ya its powerful but once i learn blender which took me maybe a day to watch the videos / learn the basics and then i started to model like crazy. Blender you have many options : Layers to store different models to combined with other ideas you may think of later on. Mirror is always great to have. sub surface is a great tool for human meshes and anything else that needs to look nice and etc. Bevel to make the object smoother. many more. O.O.........tho m
i would stop using wings 3d and move onto Blender. you can do alot more and there alot of videos for teaching you how to use blender. it has kinda a steep learning curve but its worth it.

hmmmm as of now im not making complete ship models. just bits and pieces with barrels that shoot big projectiles at you and cause your body to turn into bits and pieces. something along those lines.

i always double check on possible overlaping verts and faces. with blender its easy to tell.
i like it this way but i can still do it with faces showing, if i had a video capture program with high def i record what i do and you see how i do it. for me do its in wireframe and use vertex's let me make corrections easier than doing it with faces which i would have to change it from vertex / edge to face then delet the face , than connect the correct vertex and than make the new faces. that takes awhile. I also at points add faces and crtl+N for faces to face outside and see how it l
i see. but still i will make one and you can change it around when u have free time. which i hope come soon. soon like u need a break

I have noticed i model completely with dots o.o i dont add faces til im almost finished im in wireframe 95% of the time when i model.
