tried v0.04 first time yesterday. Wow the reduction in lag from midgame on was very noticeable! Now I wonder how I've put up with the Sins of Solar Empire slideshow before! haha. Awesome work! Is it possible to just copy over the modded files into the sins installed folder ? >.> this way it'll work even without loading mod? >.

Thanks for the invite, Dirtysanchezz. I've played a few games on Ironclad with my friend haha. Mostly what's called here the comp stomp because well.. neither of us are really any good at the game [e digicons]:blush:[/e] We'd still get our asses kicked by unfair AI sometimes [e digicons]:rofl:[/e] I know quite a few posters here can play 1v3-4+ against the hardest AI difficulty... I want to see some replays! I wouldn't mind some pointers lol!

While the wishlistin the OP would be nice, but I can't help but think many of its points are either incredibly hard to program or just completely impossible right now. Easiest example here is probably programming AI to look at the long term needs? Maybe when we are able to one day program an AI that can think for itself... Hmm ultimate abilities. I know I've never seen AI use their ultimate weapon before. Ever. As much as I can I don't use it myself either actually. There is just no good counter to it. But the cap's ultimate abilities, I know I have seen them used by the AI in Entrenchment. I don't think I saw them being used in Diplomacy though. Odd that some of the squashed bugs in Entrenchment came back up in diplomacy.

In Entrenchment, it will only cast when there are units within range. In Diplomacy, it will constantly cast it as soon as cooldown expires.

Hm I have an interesting... observation if you will. So I tried the synrar file from Blair's post earlier with my friend. We've noticed this: It gives us a desync error right at the beginning of the game if we "restart" the game. steps we did: launch Sins entrenchment log onto ironclad one of us Host a game, set it up start look around the map, didn't like our starting positions, both of us quit the game back to chat

Is that your garrison fleet? Personally on TEC when I play, I use marza with 1-2 dunov along with some LRF and hoshinkos at my choke points. All with the necessary support structures too of course. Things like 2-3 repair bays, a few fighter bays around the starbase for anti-strikecraft support etc. That along with a starbase is enough to hold off almost all but the biggest assault fleets the AI can throw at me. My frist impression of the pirates... I was caught offguard to be honest. While I agree the old pirates needed a good buff, but I think the buff might be too extreme. Perhaps a slider for pirate strength might be a good idea. I know some of the much more skillful posters here thinks the pirate strength is good now, but I'd dare to say majority of us aren't as good as you. I like the aspect of having pirates in the game but now, I'm considering turning them off.&n

I want to know how do you get this red text to appear.... So far between me and my friend, every one of our games today in diplomacy(both were bought today) desynched within the first 30 minutes. We both have set the user.setting according to the original post, but no error message came up at all! We've tried this with Entrenchment too. Desynched but no red text.
