I don't remember reading about this anywhere, so thought I'd ask on the forums. Regarding the planets in Sins, why is it they don't orbit their star, like in real life? And how come they aren't spaced properly, again, like real life? I think it'd be awesome if the planets actually orbitted the stars

Can anything be done, from a players perspective, at remedying slow downs? I'm playing a large map with 1 AI player at the moment and the game is SO slow, it's crawling along (Intel quad core Q9450, 4gb of ram, Geforce 9600GT) I turned off all the effects and set the detail levels to low, but it's still the same framerate (24fps)

There's great potential for a Sins 2, they could do so many things with it One of the game's major failings in my opinion was the lack of scenario, not to mention it having no real storyline, other than "here's three races, fight it out" The campaign/scenario could've been great if it'd been about some dark enemy that eventually invades your systems, resulting in you teaming up with the advent and Vasari (Anyone who's played Freespace 1 and 2, will remember a similiar

Just ordered a copy of Entrenchment for a friend and right after ordering, I got an email from Paypal which stated As part of our security measures, we regularly screen activity in the PayPal system. During a recent screening, we noticed an issue regarding your account. We have reason to believe that your account was accessed by a third party. Because protecting the security of your account is our primary concern, we have limited access to sensitive P

The idea behind it is good, imo, but it needs a lot of work. The fact everyone is at war to start with, just makes it a pain to play, not to mention the envoy ships are attackable by default, why aren't they permanently invulnerable? Additionally, in the short story during the loading screen it says the Vasari are a dying race? Dying of what? They're able to breed and populate new planets, so how are they dying? Personally I think they should've brought out a different

Been playing a huge map now for several hours and decided to try the diplomacy route, but I'm finding it impossible to do so. The two factions (Vasari and Advent) constantly send wave after wave of fleets to attack mine, making the "Military action" (sp) bit on the diplomacy screen go downwards of minus 30-40, so it's impossible to actually make peace with them. Sending envoys to any of their planets is pointless, because they're automatically attacked and their invul feature
Found the problem! Can anyone confirm the fed AI is crashing the mod?
Well, I was playing the federation and had the Klingons as the AI, but it still crashed after 10 or so minutes of play

Minidumped after playing for about 10 minutes I'd just built 10 or so constituion class ships and then it minidumped, with a stuttering voice saying "Requistite research must be conducttttttttttttttttttttttttttted first" hehe

The converted mod doesn't work for me As soon as the play screen loads (After you've selected map/teams etc), I see a bunch of constuition class ships and then I hear the windows error sound Says the game has stopped responding Seems to do the same on all maps.

It's a darn shame Sins doesn't use all teh cores of a multi core processor I notice when Sins is running it's using 25% cpu usage all the time (all of one core I Assume) But even with a quad core system, I can't play against 9 AI computers, because as soon as the battles start, the game slows right down

Does anyone else get annoyed with the constant "Reforming fleet" manoveur that ships do once they've destroyed a target? Ugh, I was attacking an enemies defences around their planet and one of my battleships decided to reform the fleet, it drifted about half a screen away from where I was attacking, right into the middle of a hoaming mine field It's 7000 shields went down to 3000ish once it was finished dragging mines See the circled ship - <img src="http://content4.wu

They really need another expansion, perhaps a large one, to complete the story behind the mystery aliens pursueing the Vasari. I've always thought it was odd that you get this intro video about a mysterious race chasing the Vasari, but that's it, you don't see or hear anything else about it.

I agree about the Defiant If anything, it should be considered a "heavy cruiser" Offset it's power and speed with a high supply, longer build time, highest and most expensive research tier. Assuming the Defiant was a quick fix for the borg problem, then I think it should be expensive to research and build
