texturing ships in Sins Modding Sins Forums

I have just begin to try modding some ships and so far have read and understand most of the tutorials. But I have been getting tripped up with photoshop and saving with nividia plug in (I believe I got the nm file correct set), the main problem is with the texture dds file da. I understand want the different colors are for, but how do i modify each different color, green red, blue, in photoshop. Also if I were to convert a third party model that has textures, for instance an armada mode
