Just bought Sins GOTY Edition - cannot research after building in Sins of a Solar Empire Sins Forums

Hello, I just purchased and loaded Sins this morning. I completed all 4 tutorials, and started my first campaign on a small map. When I build my military lab, I get no options to allow me to research. It completes construction, but I never get the research options.... which, is a problem. This goes for all races, as I have tried each with the same results. The buildings, both the military/civilian research facilities, complete, then no options are availab
