I also agree in many ways. I see two big problems with Sins online. 1) For me, and I'd imagine a lot of more casual gamers, the idea of possibly going up against very experiened players is not appealing. I can beat unfair AIs on FFA, but I also know that it will take several MP games to learn what works against an intelligent opponent. Which leads to... 2) Sins games last a long time. When I play against 4 unfair AI, the game can last several hours.
I'm sure we would offer something, but that poll is just to get a general idea about what people would be interested in. There's no plans at the moment to do so.
Cool. Thanks for the answer. Hope those plans change - because I would LOVE to have a poster of titans clashing above a beautiful terran world. (Don't worry, I responded on FB already, so I won
A question for the Stardock guys- On Facebook, the SOSE page posted a question about possibly offering a SOSE:Rebellion collector's edition. If this is offered, will those of us that pre-order the game get a chance to switch our pre-order to the collector's edition (of course paying for the upgrade)? I haven't pre-ordered yet, and if there's a collector's edition with some cool goodies thrown in, I'd go for that instead of the standard game.
...if (heaven forbid) the enemy brings a titan, in which case we can assume that unless you scare it away, the game is over anyway
Hopefully the AI will be smart enough to take its titan and ravage your remaining worlds, rather than go up against several star bases and your titan... But given the current AI's strategy against star bases, I wouldn't hold my breath.
You know you have played Sins too much when... ...your 6 year old runs into the room yelling "Allied backup has arrived!" ...your 4 1/2 year old builds an "Orky" with his Duplex blocks. ...your wife bribes you with "You can play 2 hours of Sins if you help me do the dishes first."
