Here is the answer : Check the code because some "0"(zero) keys look like "Q" on the code. I was using a "Q" where I should have used a "0"(zero). Maybe bigger print on the back of the manual would have avoided this.

I am trying to register my account so that I can update the version of Sins of a Solar Empire. When I type the code in from the back cover of the manual I get an error message that it is an invalid number. I have used both CAPS and not, dashes and not, and check the "O" and "0" keys. What can I do to update my version of the game.
