So I was recently playing AI Wars, and I was really interested in the tons of options for map generation, letting you have quadrants like X, tree strcutue links, clusters, and so on. One of the things I always hated about SoaSE maps was that there is rarely great chokepoints where you actually can stop an invasion, sort of how mountain passes work in other games, because at best I will see a setup where if I manage to reach said planets, I can have four chokepoints into

I always thought that Sins was lacking in the planet type department... Just four planet types (And the Gas Giant, which barely counts), plus three asteroids, dead, normal, and pirate base. So I was wondering, we will see new types? Most logical one is barren (No, it is not useless, if an asteroid is good, so is a barren world) Some diversity would be nice... It is weird when we cannot make a realistic Sol system with the available planets...
