I haven't noticed a common condition. Maybe with one exception, it usually happens when I play on a large/huge map and after roughly 2-2.5 hours of play. But, it does sound like from other posts that there are other causes possibly.

I thought back when they announced rebellion they said it would have multicore support. Maybe I am remembering this incorrectly, but it is a huge letdown if it is not going to have it.

I got this as well, it was happening to me with the initial beta, but stopped when we got beta 1a. It didn't happen at all either when we got that build accidentally(0.75). But, now with the last update(0.76, beta 2), I am getting it again. I will try and get a screen shot of the error next time it happens, it is not a dump or anything so I don't think any type of report is created.

would it be possible for some one from Stardock to weigh in on this discussion. I would be interested in what they think of adding a super weapon off, or limited number, switch. Or, if it is possible, without taking up to much development time.

I haven't had this happen to me at all, but then again I haven't played with that victory condition that many times. But my experience is that the flagship victory condition works smoothly. I suppose it could have been a rare crash, or maybe there was some sort of condition that you may not have noticed that helped cause the crash.

Like an earlier post I think it would be a great idea to create a setting before the game starts where you can choose either super weapons off, or different limits on numbers of them. Just like you can set small/medium/large fleet sizes, you could maybe set off/2/4/8/unlimited or something like this.

This was bugging me as well, it really does seem that you can't zoom in as close as in previous versions of the game. It is a shame too since they put more detail in the ships.

I also received a mini-dump during a single player game. Occurred the moment my colony ship use the colonize ability on the planet.

the only idea that i like from the op is the HD textures pack. The other ideas seem like bad choices, and the rebel TEC is usually much easier for me to kill off then the loyalists.

I agree completely, I thought it was a bit pointless to add them if they were exactly the same as asteroids. Also, I really had the impression that more planet types were being added, I really hope that is actually going to happen, but just is not implemented yet.

I definitely think they 'AT LEAST' need to move the novalith to require 8 labs for the loyalist faction. But, I also agree that they are overpowered. Especially when playing vasari, since they do not have a way to mitigate bombardment damage(unless something is added that I didn't realize) like the advent and TEC do. Also, with both the advent and vasari super weapons, they have a more long term effect, not like the novalith, which could wipe out a planet not upg

i usually just get a blank black screen when i start up the game, but when i alt+tab to something else and them go back to the game the starting video begins. i seem to need to do this pretty much every time i want to play. i have no idea if is related to the issue here though.

Although I have not been able to reproduce this bug for a long time, I have also experienced this. Novaliths that fire on friendly planets long after there would be a problem with shots already in transit. Like I said though, I haven't been able to get it to happen again, I would assume it is difficult to trigger. Aside from that, I do agree that super weapons should no longer be able to fire outside of a solar system, it is immensely irritating. O

1. I think I experienced a bug where an allied faction (controlled by the computer) was firing their Novaliths at my planets. It happened repeatedly during an entire game. The reason I say that this may only be a possible bug is that I was not able to get it to happen when I started and played through another game.
