Is that why my replay proves otherwise? Seleuceia, you are so desperate to smear me as some sort of troll that you have to resort to bringing up old accounts and making half-assed arguments to do so. Where is troll king Zombie when you need him...
Dude there is countless evidence that shows you have changed your name and made alt accounts to sow confusion and discord. Nothing you say holds any weight.
Quoting Campaigner, reply 2250 The news here in Sweden is also skewed so you'll believe in global warming. They're clever with wording things. Is it the same in US, Australia and wherever else you guys are from ?

I can say one thing for sure. I'd prefer a global temperature increase than another ice age. We could adapt to increased temp much easier than a lowered temp. Besides, increased CO2 and warmer climate makes for better plant-life growing conditions. Look at China, the air quality is bad but daaaamn those trees are green and healthy. In my opinion, we still know far too little about the larger cycle of our planets temperature. We know there was a massive ice a
I don't buy the "none of our business" argument. That's the type of "us" and "them" distinction that has dominated human history and led to these cycles of behaviour in the first place. We need to decide that we're humanity , we're not Country A and Country B, and make the first steps of acting like it. If your next door neighbour is getting murdered, is that none of your business? &nbsp

I was never a fan of star control's melee combat. I would much rather something different, enabling all of your fleet to fight together. It felt like a big disconnect having ships fight each other one at a time and I really did not like it at all. I would much rather full 3d real time tactical battles. I know many SC fans may disagree but that's how I feel.
At present, the multiplayer in vanilla is horribly balanced. That is why I migrated to the Star Wars mod produced by none other than the Goafan. He is known for his legendary balance work and is considered one of the foremost intellectuals in the MP community. The problem is not very many people play his mod, so I'm having trouble finding a partner to play MP with. Anyone want to experience the greatness that is Goa's mod?
Just quoting
Who is the bigger troll? The gentleman who inspires constructive debates over important community issues or the guy who makes troll posts denigrating that very person? It's not that hard of an answer, folks.
It's only 'constructive' in the sense that you 'construct' a false reality and claim things that are not true.
Back to the topic - anyone played the beta? How rough/polished is it? Is there anything worthy of attention in the game? I've put 45 hours into it already, been fun. Sure it needs some work, but then you can build castles on your private server at a level of depth that i've never experienced before in a game. <br

I saw this on steam the other day, I'm following it's progress but I make a habit of not buying unfinished games unless I know the developer is very reliable.
IMHO, tactical combat is not a good fit for GC3 because the ship designer is (already) too abstract. GC* has made the game-design -level commitment to float high above the tactical level. placement of components has no tactical effect components are never damaged
