Well it's inherently known in other modding communities that LAA flags cause problems in Windows 7/8.

I'm a experience mod user/author from Bethesda Games, like Elder Scrolls/Fallout. I've been trying a different mods for SotSE, didn't know there was a 2 gig limit on Sin's, which is very similar to games before Skyrim. So I had a few out of memory crashes in large games. So I've used CFF explorer to set the LAA flag on SotSE exe, and I've haven't had a problem since. LAA flag will only let it use 3 gigs regardless if your computer uses a 32bit OS, but that&
