I was playing a game tonight, and I had a level 7 Eradica titan that was about to be destroyed. It had 1 point in Unyielding Will. With one last chastic burst, it got up to level 8, and I quickly put another point into Unyielding Will so that it would be stronger when it turned invincible. However, less than a second after I did so, the titan was destroyed. It turned white, but it just disappeared like any other unit would. It's possible that its abilities we

Sometimes you may want to avoid focusing fire so that shield mitigation doesn't reset. This is especially the case if you want to use a high-damage ability, such as an overcharged snipe from the rebel titan. If you focus fire the target, it does 35% damage instead of 85% damage when taking shield mitigation into account, which means that more than half the damage is wasted if you focus fire before opening up with a snipe.

[quote who="GoaFan77" reply="39" id="3299936"] Quoting HLT, reply 37 It bears repeating, however, that this is a diminution of the game, not an improvement. The "cage match" mentality, and the attitude that comes with it, simply throws away a lot of features that provide an additional layer of complexity and enjoyment to the vast majority of players (going by total title sales vs. number of "cage match" advocates). Quoting CoronalFire,

The only two ways around it is to either make a galaxy forge map and set the planet names through that, or edit the English.string file to change the list of names planets are randomly assigned. You can farm levels by using pirates. Some people station their titan in a pirate base, keeping it stationary, and it gains levels over time. You can do this with capital ships, too (although a multitude of them would help) as long as they can escape and heal after the ordeal. As long as you're not in the middle of the defense platforms and minefields, you should be fine.

Okay, I'm working with Notepad++ right now, and the templates and groups don't go well together. Do I create another player with the name "RandomMilitia" or some other name in the file when the players are being declared? Other than "IsNormalPlayer" and the player names, what parameters should I adjust?

I've unchecked the "Use Default Template" option for different planets depending on what I want. For planets that are already owned, this isn't an issue (after I figured a few things out), but for unowned planets, I'm not sure how to get militia into there. No units appear when I try using my own templates on unowned planets.

I've come across posts like this https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/339832 which suggest changing the ScenarioDef file in order to create a new player to give units to. However, I've also seen people mention that they can place asteroids using the entity editor in the Galaxy Forge editor. I've tried using the "entity" feature to place units to act as militia, but no units show up when I sel

I'm still waiting on it. Can't wait to add bounty to other players for building scouts or other entities ridiculous to spam.

What would a relatively fast-playing 1v1 map with good replay value contain? Specifically, those with relatively balanced elements (i.e. balanced planet distribution for players, enough planets to avoid # of asteroids becoming an issue).

One balance idea would be to control the number and types of resource meteors in maps (or at least map creators) so that the game is more balanced, since the difference between winning early game could be a crystal and metal meteor.

The other player on my team (2v2 all human) continued to see me do small actions while I seemed to have been disconnected mid-game or something weird like that (although I continued to play). I've never had any problems with other online games before like this. I was also playing the most recently updated version of Diplomacy (1.011).

The last 2 times I've tried playing a game online it's ended in the game crashing or desyncing (I'm assuming that's where all the other players disappear and I'm facing a bunch of enemies who don't do anything with a bunch of allies who don't do anything). The first time I noticed I had desynced (2v2) because no one was responding, and I could spend resources so much that I had negative credits, crystal, and metal at some points. I was playing a 5v5 last night,
