More expansions = continued developer interest in the franchise. More interest = higher chance of Sins 2.
I was convinced that I should wait until Rebellion before forking out the cash. I also used to use a present tense in place of "was".
I believe what Maxxedmk meant by the first question is "Do you split off into one of the loyalists/rebels mid-game through certain choices? (perhaps research choices), or do you choose which one you're going to be at the start?" I assume that's how Yarlen understood it as well.

If you wanted a way of including ships from races that don't have enough to make it into your mod, you could use the travelers. One of their primary goals is obtaining ships for their unique lifestyle.
Downloading it now, I'll be playing as soon as I get back from work. Can't wait. I take it "Alpha" means, first half? As opposed to pre-beta. I have been really enjoying the Tau'ri part of the mod, so I am really looking forward to this, thanks to the entire SGI team!
Does the Ancient Ruins planet type replace one of the other types? I've been trying to place some in GalaxyForge. Only way I've been able to have that planet type so far is with "WeightedColonizable". Though that leaves a 1/11 chance of getting it.
