While playing with my G13 keypad I noticed that it is possible to see the health, pop, and income of enemy planets that are currently in a fog of war. While this doesn't give too much information about the planet I still find it interesting.
I was in a similar situation however they weren't posting anymore bounty but also would not post bounty on someone else.
Some friends and I had the same issue even on ICO however I turned off Crossfire and fiddled with firewall settings and now it works fine. The firewall settings that were given to Rebellion on Windows 7 were only "Public" access instead of the "Private" network access that is required in my case (and I'd have to believe in many others as well). Maybe give that a shot as I haven't had time to determine if the issue is specifically Crossfire or firewall.
