Since we got derailed by the trolls for half the thread, I would like to get back on topic. I think the Vasari early game is very unbalanced. Their frigates are considerably worse than any other faction, and the only viable starting cap is the egg. The only reason they don't get steamrolled every game is due to the oh-so obvious crutch, their starbase. So perhaps in the next patch Ironclad could buff their frigates and nerf the starbase? Perhaps doubling SB research or moving it to tier 3

If you get any titan to level 6 the game is pretty much over anyway...

I enjoy starcraft 2's custom games more than I do its actual multiplayer.

Try uploading a replay so we can see what you are doing wrong. Normally spamming light frigates is enough to get you through hard AI.

If you ever get hull upgrades on first ankylon level you are an idiot... TEC armor/HP upgrades are incredibly cheap and you should be researching that when you build a titan.

The more i look at KSSSWM's chart the more I realize this is a cleverly disguised troll thread. I mean, he only gets one out of the three abilities but stacks up on antimatter??? No scattershot and explosive shot combo? Hull upgrades on ankylon? LOL.

Wtf dude? In the context of your post and this entire thread we were clearly talking about AM upgrade vs ability upgrade. On one hand the former makes the antimatter pool bigger and reduces cooldowns for all abilities while the latter buffs each ability drastically. Maybe its you who needs to learn how to read. There is no "right" way that you should upgrade titans. Like cap abilities, it is situational, meaning you need to take into account other peoples skill level and what is actually going on in the game itself. For example, you might choose to get explosive shot instead of scatter on the 1st level if theres alot of light frigates still in the game. I've actually found that AIs are more than adequate replacements, even surpassing some humans in skill. For example, if somebody drops at the beginning of the match, the ai gains a ridicolous income bonus that causes them to sometimes surpass the ecos income level. They can even have HCs up and ready in sub 40 minutes...
