For some perspective, the LF spam lost 17% more in terms of resources...however, the flak person invested 52% more resources...let me say that again: flak fleet cost 52% more than LF fleet, but LF fleet only lost 17% more... Why do armchair scientists think they know better than the real ones? You do know that 97% of all scientific studies support global warming, right?
I've got no opinion about the balance things. I'm mostly concerned by the UI, which I experience as slow and extensive (I play supreme commander, so it's easy for me to say).
Any UI changes will take more than 5 minutes. Thats why I tried to limit them in my post.
1. Change resource sharing values (from 100/250 to 500/1000) Nobody likes sitting through a clickfest while trying to feed. Not only does this waste valuable time that could be spent doing something more productive, it also makes eco's float their credits and resources to absurd levels, potentially losing out on a won game. It even helps develop carpal tunnel syndrome!!! Although my best wish is for here to be a ____ value button where you just type the amoun

Okay, that's not true...I did read the big bold text, which intrigued me to yet again view the images...but as soon as I went to them, I instantly became more interested in the pictures o
I have easily played more than 1000 online competitive games of sins, going back to the beginning of the game. More than half probably 5v5s, almost all 3v3, 4v4 or 5v5. In all that time i have never seen capital ships massed produced in a competitive game. Even during the carrier cap era you would rarely see more than 5 capital ships per player, and a quick LRM rush would usually wipe clean

I'd post my replay, but I'm too afraid that someone might criticize my microing and hurt my feelings...hopefully someone more skilled than me can post a replay of their cobalts winning....or better yet, a replay of the cobalts losing
I love how you guys are so quick to offer an opinion without having even tested it yet.
You are absolutely wrong here man. The way target per banks works, it applies FULL damage per target. There is no splitting of damage or anything. Having more targets per bank actually does the full dps to each target it can hit. It's weird yes, but that is the way Sins works.
Ok I did not know that. We can scratch suggestion number 3 off then.
I'm thin

I don't know if you guys know this or not, but flak frigates are actually EXTREMELY overpowered. The general consensus in the community seems to be that flak is only useful in leveling your opponents titan and making your eco angry. I can confirm that is NOT the case. A combination of low tech (only requires TWO labs… WTF), incredible range and speed (a handful of flak got lock down an entire gravwell), cheap cost

In the drug-addled 60's I might have got equally esoteric and 'theoretical' but arithmetic is always arithmetic...no matter how many drugs you abuse. 12 x 12 is always 144 unless you are too lazy to work it out and say...."couldn't give a fuck...but it's around 140". Too much BS is wasted on arty-farty interpretations of 'theoretical science'. "12 x 12

is this thread a joke? I can prove global warming in 15 minutes in a high school chemistry class.
I would advise when building a skills list like this one, to not go into any details. They can be very subjective as no two games are alike. Just do a remake of the old list with 4 tiers, and i think everyone will be happy.
Is anybody else disappointed by Stellar Phenonema? It seems to have the least amount of content out of all the trinity/rebellion dlcs. At least Forbidden Worlds gave us a long awaited addition of new planets, and the industrial or social specs changed eco gameplay alot. The random events in this new dlc have little impact on gameplay, and if there is, it is frequently negative. Randomness has no place in competitive matches, and all this tricky doo hicky nonsense with the pirate superfl
This still seems to be happening...
Repulse DOES affect titans. Thats one of the reasons why its so dangerous.
Wtf? This thread is over a year old. Let it rest.
We already have a game like this. Its called EVE Online.
I finally figured out why I keep minidumping/disconnecting the majority of my games. Alot of people have told me I MD/DC around the same time a certain player (well-known) pops online and goes to ICO. Sounds outlandish right? I didn't believe it at first, but it happened TWICE today! [e digicons]>:([/e] The first time, I was just chilling in the lobby, waiting for caps to pick teams, then this player joins the chat, types "moo" and I minidump!!!! Diplomacy multiplayer is very nearly dead. I logged in yesterday at peak hours and there was only one game in lobby, apparently between friends. I suggest you nab rebellion while it is still on sale.
If you can beat unfair ai, then I suggest you move on to mulitplayer. Playing against humans opens up a depth of strategy and tactics that is simply not possible in singleplayer. And yes, titans DO die in multiplayer, and often (except VL titan with overseer, lolz).
