Neat ideas. I like the thought you put into the upgrades. I agree with Mr. Haze though. They are pretty amazing as is. Maybe if they got toned down, and then the research brings them up to the godliness that they are now would work . . .

My guess is that you accidentally scuttled or lost a Military Lab and lost the research. You need 8 for the Rebels and I think either 6 or 7 for the Loyalists. That or it's a bug.
My problem with the close range abilities is if you try to pick a group of dudes, the titan takes forever to turn so when it does shoot, it's only like two dudes that get affected. I just leave it on autocast. 4 snipes is 4 dead enemies in my book. Maxed out is like around 10 shots. Yeesh.
It's pretty amazing when you are the Rebels, not going to lie. In my past few games, the pirates alone dominate the AI because all they do is dippity derp back and forth between two planets or so. Even against humans, there will probably be a sort of meta game if both opponents are Rebels. As for the Loyalists, they get pretty unstoppable once the cogs get turning . . . so they are weak in the beginning as balance. I don't know. I'm ju
It uses Snipe for me about 70% of the time. It uses Explosive shot maybe 20% and the Scattershot like 10%. Snipe is just crazy awesome.
Some are too easy to get. I allied myself with a computer for one game and got like six immediately.
You and I have very similar ways of noticing things!
Having pirate allies at the moment for the TEC Rebels is a very awesome concept. However, both I and others have noticed that the pirates generated from Pirate Mercenaries ability are pretty random. "Oh Hey I have 150 supply, let me start on a capi- . . . whoa. It's now 9 supply . . ." And then a whole bunch of pirates spawn. Free units are awesome, but this ability could use some fine tuning. Note: I have no idea how, when, where, or why the pirate allies spawn. I may be
Thank you so much Yarlen. I can't wait to try out the Vasari and Advent when they come out and hopefully provide some feedback for them!
@crisaron Yeah I was attacked by an imaginary pirate my whole game. I thought I built a star base over him and he was stuck haha. @mbar8 Yeah this game is even more gorgeous now. I'm going to compare the two later just to see how pretty it's become. Thanks all for the feedback.
Me again. On phone and don't want to delete whole post. I tried a random huge map, and the Arcovas are a lot smarter with the sensor drones. Not sure why they were acting up on Point Blank. That'a all I have for now.
Good post. I've been playing for so long that my eyes are tired. It's nice to see others see some of the same things I did.
Here is the nitty gritty. Warning: I've been playing for the past . . . oh 8 hours. So these may be a little raw, but I'm trying my best to be as descriptive as possible. The default zoom has changed for smaller ships. You used to be able to zoom in much more, say on an Arcova Scout Frigate for example, and look at all the details while the camera tracks it and such. Is it just me who has noticed this? I believe I tried researching Militia Weapo
In the finished game, when you click on the Diplomacy Handshake window, will there be a way to tell which players of a given race are Loyalists and which ones are Rebels? Will there be different player avatars to distinguish them?
I second this. The avatar pics are the same as the previous TEC in Diplomacy, and to my knowledge other than the Titan and the name of the Corvette, it's pretty tough to tell
I couldn't find this anywhere. Does anyone know what Liberated Resistance does? It's under Diplomacy for TEC Rebels. Says something about liberated rebels meeting at your capital. I have no idea how to proc it. I do get random pirates from the Pirate Mercenaries thing, but . . . it's totally random. Like I'll save up some fleet supply and 90 supply will just disappear, and I'll get free units. Kind of wish I could adjust the when and where they spawn
Well . . . If I'm going to play Vasari Rebels, I may as well learn to play well with others.
*Waits in line*
I am so happy right now. I've been waiting for this for a year!
Was loading a game and saw this one during the loading screen. Had to rush to grab my camera to take a pic. "Tip: AI players can be influenced if they are happy enough with you. If you complete enough missions, you will be able to ask him(sic) to attack or defend planets for you." "Tip: AI players can be influenced if they are happy enough with you. If you complete enough missions, you will be able to ask [them] to attack or defend planets for you."
I know these are minor nitpicky things. Like I said, I don't want to cross the line and go from being helpful to annoying. I would feel bad if fixing these took away from Rebellion time. However, I would be honored if they somehow help Rebellion's tool tips in some way. I've done my best to describe the location of the inconsistency, offer a reason, and then try to offer an example. Need to do Vasari. My methods: open up a Point Blank map with no pirates. T
I found a few more things, mainly capitalization discrepancies. Like on one upgrade it will say "Krosov Siege frigate" and another will say "Arcova Scout Frigate." I mean I could list all that I can find, I just don't want to go from helpful to annoying.
Typos and Possible Inconsistencies Regarding Tooltips Version: Diplomacy v. 1.34 TEC TEC Military Tree Structural Subsystems Improved Shield Arrays: This research also affects Star Bases. Probably Vasari (Whichever One Has the Cooler Titan). Well. Titan is a big draw. I will probably go with the one that augments my vanilla Sins playstyle.
Aw shucks. You guys rock! edit: Yarlen rocks specifically!
Okay this is my last post. Found two more typos. Under Vasari Phase Drive Pact (yellow text): "Each faction shares their knowledge of phase space, granting one another access to phase stabilizer connections and improved phase engines." "Their" should be "its." Under TEC Siege Pact (Yellow Text): "Shared advances in planetary bombardment research leads to deadlier weapon systems
