I have to respect the opinions represented here in support of the release. I think that your perspective is based on very detailed strategy gaming. I don't play a game that intensely. I have a couple of counterpoints: 1) Movies are much more expensive to produce ... consider the cost of a good developer vs the cost of a good actor. The actor will be 10X the cost. I paid $40 for what I already had in Trinity plus a couple of new features? This is, at best, an expansion. To say I am unimpressed would be an understatement and I would demand a refund if possible. I have bought many Stardock titles in the past and have never encountered this. If Stardock had not been honorable with Elemental, I would withdraw my business.
