Yeah, I don't mind Israel, just using them as an example of the follies of the extreme left, the boycott never happened because several saner members of the national green party intervened. Sorry if I'm sounding "aggressive", just running out of coherent ideas to ban people. Um... banned for uhhh... using skin products? Not eating vegemite?
mdman1
Totally agree with you, in Australia, the leftest greens in charge of one of the city councils in Sydney proposed boycotting Israeli products, this issue became hilarious as they'd be boycotting the stuff within their council limits, which is to say a few suburbs and I doubt there's much Israeli exports in Australia let alone in a few inner western suburbs of metropolitan Sydney. I had a friend who described the extremes as having a few interesting ideas but not much in common with reality to go
Banned for not making sense when banning someone else. Seth Macfarlane? In my book that's where I draw the line between social commentary and random humor (maybe I don't get the references) anyway, I thought there was a more than likely chance you'd be offended with laughing at the foibles of the extreme right and damn you for posting before four minutes before me!
Banned for replying on 12:14:13 pm, (by my time anyway). My impression of America comes from Simpsons' reruns and I thought it'd be amusing to lampshade how some of the extreme right portray a bill on health reform/whatever you think about it as a communist plot.
(nicely done Draak) banned for expressing creativity in Obama's Marxist/Communist/1984/Nazi America! Had a hectic few months in RL involving a couple of natural disasters and insurance payouts. Btw, i'm not American so don't take what I wrote in the wrong way and come after me with your cheap, easy-to-buy assault rifles. [e digicons][/e]
Banned for trying to superimpose letters on the cosmos How could you? the stars are so beautiful without being sullied by letters! [e digicons]:andrew:[/e]
um... hi guys, I've been away for a while and my reason for being so pays homage to b-grade disaster movies. I've been cut off from the net for the past few months due to floods and cyclones (i believe in the 'states you call them hurricanes). While I didn't expire, I came (in my humble and at that time, near hysterical opinion) awfully close. Luckily insurance covere
(DS RP) The small TEC fleet storms into the capital world of the Egibis system, which is conveniently only one phase jump away from the star. However, being the capital world it is heavily defended by static defences; with hanger defence structures and beam defence platforms. Additionally over the a third of the TRE ships are damaged to some extent from the previous battle at the star. Not that it’ll do the Egibis Advent any good with most of their fleet destroyed
(DS RP) The 350-odd ships in Z’s fleet emerge out of phase space and stay on the edge of the Finley stars’ grav well, careful not to antagonise the RFT. After a short interval the ships re-enter phase space en route to Atlovia. The previous process is repeated there as well but not for security reasons as the Atlovians don’t have a large enough fleet to cause any problems, but to hasten the departure time. The TEC ships then proceed to Erardene. Being in the mainly V
AI War? Are you refering to the Total War series?
(DS RP) Numerous hulks and rag-tag ships float amongst the large asteroid and its smaller, mined sisters. The ships vary in size; from as small a reaper to the size of a capital ship, each however shares a common fate. They wait to die. Each of these quietly resting ships awaits the metaphorical scrap yard. A small Arcova threads its way through the drifting ships, it radios the scrapyard control with the following message; “Bellary Control 4, I’m afraid we’r
Wait... your port authority has a bus terminal??? Who thought of that? I'm thinking of a port as in ships, am I wrong? wow, just discovered that you can read the first two Honor Harrington series online for free, thank god for tvtropes! Additionally David Weber has won my respect for doing this so I'm going to buy the sequels.
Hmm, so thats the what the modern greyhounds look like. When I've thought about them, I always pictured the 60's version. Also, why would the port authority go overkill on the steel beams?
Wow, I have to agree with Bison thats an impressive sci-fi series. I'll try to buy some of the books, only 10.95 at qbd [e digicons]}:)[/e] I'll try to write some lore over the next few weeks but its been slow going due to rl. Also, just a side question for a very distant future idea; say if there were some of the average run-of-the-mill artifacts scattered in a system, would it be okay to write about it? (like a kinetic intensifier and a matter compressor, check o
(DS RP) She was detained as soon as her battered ship returned to Germanthea. Imprisoned like some criminal, she cursed the women who put her in this predicament and the man who defeated her. Deprived of most of her powers by a mental binds placed on her by the Viceroys, she felt like a newly made cripple. Inside the bare, windowless room that served as a cell she didn’t know how many days had passed. She had nothing to do, only her own bleak thoughts kept her company until she
Just like to point out that we have made it to page 38, congrats to bison for posting, brings out the apple juice "cricket immobilizer", cheers buddy.
Who happen to be human as well.
Oh yeah, I was wondering why ships with no anti-matter can jump. Anyway, I agree with Draak, phase jumping to another galaxy would take too long for the normal human lifespan.
Heck ryat, I'm Aussie and I get it, but for the sake of avoiding sedition charges let's just say that the state you described is purely theoretical :) Anyway I don't think you could phase jump from one galaxy to another, I just think the distance is too large, not enough anti-matter to make it. Also there are like a 100 million something stars in this galaxy so I think the varsari just come from another part of the milky-way.
At Draak: I know I'm not in your rp group but don't you think its a bit risky to say what the darkness chasing the varsari is? I understand if you just want to say it's from another galaxy and since I don't know what you guys are planning my concerns could be groundless. I just think stating a major part of the game's plot is unsafe. Anyway, this is just a comment (my two cents) so feel free to disregard it.
Uh... Ryat, those mushroom clouds don't look that realistic, it just looks like some oversized white mushrooms. Instead of watching the apocalyse those fishermen could be in the land of massive mushrooms, oh and draak I second your statement.
Wow, I always thought the land of trolls was imaginary, though kudos to stant for the ingenuity of a virtual finger. (at teal) Originally, I sorta messed up the time, I think in the first few posts I decided to skip the teensy-weensy details of empire building and just skipped a month. Well I was setting up so I guess that's a good excuse. Well I won't be doing it much anymore except maybe going forward a few days here and there. Anyway though I don't have an advent faction, I do have an
(DS RP) As his ship emerges from phase space Adruth stares at the militia fleet in grav well of Edessa. The local militia of the three remaining worlds not in TRE control have joined together in a last ditch attempt to remain free. The result is not impressive, 20 cobalts, 18 Javelis’, 11 Kodiaks, 12 Gardas and 6 Krosevs. Adruth almost laughs at their stupidity, they were little better than local pirates. His own fleet consists of 21 Kodiaks, 33 javelis’, 1 Akkan, 1 Dunov
