try turning off hyper threading in the bios.
Thank you for the response. Unfortunately, disabling hyper threading is not an option in my BIOS. Any other solutions in mind? I tried setting Affinity to CPU0 in task manager, it made no difference. Thanks you guys for the awesome support!
Alright, I was getting around 14-17% use of my CPU. I7s are 8 hyper threaded and i could see multiple cores being used at once. So we know the problem is the cpu, is there a solution? If not, than this is ridiculous. My 5 year old desktop could run this game no problem, but my new laptop I bought this year and my new desktop cannot? Thanks for the help guys! sorry I came across as a bit nasty. I was just very excited to play again. If you can off
Quoting farquezy, reply 3It can't be the cpu, I had the same problem on my desktop which had a I7 920 overclocked o 3.3GHZ Yes, but how many cores does your computer have? The main game simulation Sins has uses only a single core. Thus if you have an i5-quad core like me, Sins can only use 25% of my CPU. If you have more cores it is an even smaller percentage, so for Sins your CPU is only as good as each individual core
It can't be the cpu, I had the same problem on my desktop which had a I7 920 overclocked o 3.3GHZ I remember playing this game back in the day when it first came out with no problem. It wasn't until I bought it on steam, using windows 7, last year when i started experiencing these problems. This game came our in 2008. My CPU right now should be able to shred this game. I have the newest generation of CPU. CPU's this powerful didn't even exist 5 years ago
I am using the newest version of the Maelstorm mod but the problem exist in vanilla also(if I remember correctly, its been a long time since I played vanilla). I remember fixing this problem when I played this game a while ago but since I uninstalled, the problem has come back. My specs: Windows 7 64 bit 12 gb ddr3 ram GeForce 660M Intel i7-3610QM 2.30 GHZ What is causing this problem? I set the settings to the lowest possible and no ch
Found the solution. I used to have this game installed long time ago with my old graphics card. I deleted the Ironclad folder in user/appdata/local and reinstalled the game. Problem fixed
I verified cache files and defragment files through steam. I also uninstalled and installed my drivers. Still nothing
Specs: i7 920 3.36 overclocked Radeon 5850 overclocked 5gb of ddr3 ram #1: I run BF3 on almost the highest setting with 40fps. I cant even run this game on the highest setting at 10 fps.... I dont know why, my system should EASILY eat this game up. I played on a gigantic 86 planet map and the low fps started later into the game. ITS OBVIOUSLY NOT MY SYSTEM, MY SYSTEM SHOULD EASILY WITHSTAND THIS. I checked MSI afterburner and m
